floridasun5 Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 how is it? I've always done the Best Buy/ Walmart stores on BF and if you werent in line at 10pm the night before, you didnt get anything. However, I'm wondering if Sears is the same way? Anyone that has done Sears doorbuster? Do they give out tickets? Is there huge lines that start the night before, or could I actually get in line about 3-4am and still get something? Right now, I'm interested in one of their tv's. Thanks!
WarmLady Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Last year Penney's opened before Sears. We were in line at Penney's an hour before they opened and were first in line. We got the things on our list and got to Sears 5 minutes before they opened. There was a line, but we were inside within a couple of minutes after Sears opened their doors. I wouldn't worry about camping out too long. A lot of people wait in their cars until they either see a line forming or until the doors open if the line isn't too bad.
guy_376 Posted November 19, 2006 Posted November 19, 2006 There is no comparison between Best Buy and Sears...you can pretty much get what you want at Sears because the lines are not nearly as long. The $10 gift card available should increase the lines, though.
yellowstonemark Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 I just want the gift card and a couple of items I'm sure won't go too quick. Any suggestions as to when I should be there to be one of the first 100? Can anyone give firsthand experience accounts of the lines there? Thanks in advance.
kselzer Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Last year they opened at 6am, so I went to BB first and was at Sears by 5:30. There was only about 20 other people in line. Sears passed out tickets for the $10 reward cards about 5:45. Once they passed out the tickets about half the people took off, I did and went to Meijer's to get a few things, then came back to Sears. Sears was busy last year, but no where near BB or Walmart busy. Just make sure you are at the right door to get the tickets/reward cards - at the Sears I went to it was by the merchandise pick-up doors. If they do this, they should have a sign on the other doors stating this (at least the one I went to did).
lwjbestcook Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 The lines at Sears are not too bad, but they are notorious (at least here anyway) about having only one or two of a really good sale item in stock...that has happened to me more than once, especially with electronics. lwj
