buygreekart Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 I really didn't like the idea of spending a night in line waiting for doors to open to stores. So, I just found something out that I thought I'd share. It may not work at all stores, but many. Go to your store of choice BEFORE BF and buy what you want that is on the BF sale list. Then, go back to the same store during the BF special hours and get a price adjustment. That way you get the item without being in line, and get it in advance at the sale price. I'm doing my shopping at Best Buy and confirmed with different store managers. Same thing at Circuit City. Happy Shopping
Marcster Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Not recommended... Read these:Best Buy: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=55103 ("Best Buy's price match policy does not apply to items in this ad and is NOT VALID ON PRIOR PURCHASES.") Circuit City: http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=55054 ("last year...While the service desk was open, it was only open to register all the people for the AOL promo.....and had no one there to work price matches/adjustments.")Caveat emptor!
RossMAN Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 This isn't something new and it won't work for all stores.
dangerkitty Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Yea really....otherwise everyone would be doing it.
mesarobins Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 ...and as has been mentioned in other threads, alot of the doorbuster items have a unique product code that is not on shelves any other day. What you get told ahead of time and what actually happens may differ in reality.
