jarerice Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 What time should I get there? What time is everyone getting there? Me and my husband are going. This will be his first BF!!!! We might get there at 10 on Thanksgiving. We want Dora car and PSP, but are these the ones you have to stand in line for or will they be "a mad dash" to get one? Give me pointers, please. This is only my 3rd BF and the last 2 were for a trampoline (line) and a Cabbage Patch Newborn (mad dash)!!!! Of course I got more, but those were the most important!!!!
nikkilugi Posted November 11, 2006 Posted November 11, 2006 Well I would think the PSP would be a line. My Wal-Mart had a line for the GBA SP last year in the electronics department. I'm not sure about the Dora Car. I would think they would have them on a pallet somewhere in the store - so more of a mad dash type of item. If you live near a supercenter then go there and scope out where the pallet is and hang out around it until 5 am. Last year at my store they let people get the items in their cart but they just couldn't check out until 5 am. (well everything except the items like the camera, the laptop/desktop and the gameboy sp's).
firestone71 Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 i think it all depends on the item. i want the dora tv/dvd player and our store only has the dora tv as of today so it is probably a BF Blitz item that will only be in for black friday. i'm thinking i am going to be doing a mad dash to get one since most character tv/dvd combos that they do have are priced around 150. give or take a few $. around a 40% savings but then again i remember last year that they had a table set up for electronics things like tv, dvd player, boom box etc. you had to get a ticket for it. but not possitive about the dora tv because the character tvs are usually in toy section. does anybody have any insight to this?

They were on a pallet. I got the last one, 10 minutes after 5:00. I hadn't planned on getting it but my SIL said it was meant to be since it was the last one! The dvd player didn't work so I ended up taking it back.
mcknight_collee Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 The PSP is a line item..not sure about the dora TV maybe. If I where you I would ask them at Walmart I'm sure that some ofthe employees must know where items are gonna be placed bf.
jarerice Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 well i know the Dora car is big. I hope it's a ticket item. Question??? If i put the PSP on LAW now, will I get BF price on BF when I take it off? That what DH could stand in line for something else or make a mad dash for something else.... What do yall think?
jrbriscoe Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I think the psp will be a mad dash item. I would be at wally world at 8 to 10 on thanksgiving night
bayhaysay Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I think that the PSP will be a line item but the Dora car will probably be a mad dash item. Thank goodness I don't need either of them, lol. Good luck. :)
mcknight_collee Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 FYI If you have a game crazy near you go there and with the walmart ad and they willprice match I do this every year for all of my gaming stuff to not fight the crowds.
elena_398 Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 run don't walk to the Dora car. That is a big item and Im sure they aren't going to stock a ton of them. The PSP will definately be a line item.
laffnatu Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 I'm sure that some ofthe employees must know where items are gonna be placed bf. Last year I kept asking people where stuff was going to be while I was there Friday morning. No one knew. We walked and walked the store looking around and following pallets as they brought them out. lol. They were very disorganized. There was a lady there since midnight and she knew where several things were but she was still looking for stuff too.
jarerice Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 I think the Dora car will be like the trampoline. All I know is i have to get one!!!! The savings on the PSP isn't but 30 bucks. DH may want to got find the LCD TVs!!!!
jarerice Posted November 12, 2006 Author Posted November 12, 2006 Wow...here's what I'm going to do!!! In today's paper Target has the same PSP system for 199.99 and you get a 20.00 GC. Only a 10.00 differene. I'm getting it this monday. That way I'll have no worries about the system, my DH can stand and wait for the Dora car and I can make A Mad Dash for other stuff ( I don't know what, yet)
elena_398 Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 Its a good thing your husband is coming. My friend last year had a hard time getting the car that was around the same size. She took her awhile before an employee helped her. She almost missed out on other things while asking for help with the large box.
MaddynAllysMom02 Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 sigh.......its going to be a rough morning for me at Walmart. I need a Spongebob tv, and a Dora tv, and two of the Vsmiles. Wonder where they will have it all set up................
swelsh524 Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 You would think the Tvs and the car will be in toys because they are going to have a line for PSP and they always have another line somewhere in the same vicinity for the computer or camcorder. The Vsmiles will definitely be in toys. The car will be a riot causing item. I am so glad I'm not after any of the above. I do wish all of you luck!!!
jarerice Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 I went to Target, bought the $250.00 PSP. After I got home, I talked to my son to make sure he really wanted the PSP ( he doesn't)!!!!!! so i'm bringing it back today. He would rather have alot of things, than 1 expensive thing.
