iffer23 Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the steel Razor S Scooter on sale at Wal-Mart for $16.88 and the aluminum Razor A Scooter on sale in the Target Toy Book for $25? Which is better for a ten year old?!? I'm such a confused auntie...
Jsawyer24 Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 i beleive the one at target is the 2006 version... my son has that one, i went to the razor site and couldnt find any info on the "S" version so im assuming it was last years model. i also googled it and couldnt find any info....
kdblev Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 from what i could gather the "s" version is/will be just for wal-mart. it is the only steel kick scooter razor seems to have any plans of selling. i would think the other aluminum ones would be lighter and easier to deal with but this steel one is supposed to be sturdier and hold twice the weight.
iffer23 Posted November 10, 2006 Author Posted November 10, 2006 Thanks for your replies. So what's the final consensus? Is the aluminum better than the steel? Should I skip the special Walmart price that ends Saturday, and hope for a better price on the A or A2 on BF?
able Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 weight!!!!! the steel one is a lot heavier!! and cost less ..the aluminum ones are much lighter ,but will e a tad bit more
jason629 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 If your son wants to jump it off the curb, etc. then you want the aluminum one (weight). The steel one won't be any sturdier - it will just be heavier - and it will rust. The aluminum version won't rust, so he can leave it out in the rain/sprinklers, etc. and you won't need to give him a beating. Everyone wins!
Caprice64 Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 Well seeing as I already put 2 of the 16.88 ones in layaway, I guess I'll have to make sure they don't leave them outside!
