g-man430
How is halloween not number 2? That's got to be wrong. There is no way father's day possibly beats out halloween in terms of sales.
Cecilliadb
I agree with g-man. And I saw on the news that spending was way way up for halloween this year. But thats still interesting, thanks.

A few bags of candy and a costume arn't going to beat the gifts.

A few bags of candy and a costume arn't going to beat the gifts.Great point - to add to this a lot of perople have not only one father to buy for on Father's day ( same applies to Mother's day as well) when u count in father, father in law, stepfather, some people also buy for grandfathers and then times that by two for both people if it is a married couple and you can wind up spending a bundle on a holiday like Father's day or mother's day. elena_398
I believe it. Everyone feels compelled to spend, spend, spend during christmas time. Hmmmm I better not comment anymore as Im guilty too. lol
amyers12345
Remember, at christmas time, most probably buy for 30x as many people as they do for mother's day. A smaller gift for a mom or two, but when you figure you spend much more on the kids, plus all family, plus the mailman and teachers, it actually kind of evens back out.
