lana2go
Every year, the family does a round of gag gifts. I would like to start early on this. Any ideas would be appreciated. We have given pet rocks out to people that has had every pet under the sun for example. If its going to create a laught - that is what we want. Thanks in advance
mrn8
Something like size XXXL boxers (especially with hearts or lips on them) could be funny.
hopeky94
My uncle and his mil in Florida do these every year and take pics! But the only ones I can remember right now are... One year he got her a "gold chain"-- a piece of chain from the hardware store, spraypainted gold, with either 14 or 24 carrots ("carats" lol) hanging from it, ends of the chain connected to make a necklace of course! Well, since my uncle is from Kentucky, his mil has always teased that he's a hillbilly (trust me-- he's the farthest thing from one! lol), so... she got him some ratty-looking bib overalls, a flannel shirt, big rubber boots, a straw hat, and a corncob pipe! And of course, he had to put them all on for the picture! If you have any little country festivals and/or gift shops nearby, they usually have some cute stuff for sale that's pretty easy to make yourself... like the hillbilly weather forcaster (a rock hanging on a string, with a little saying along the lines of "If the rock is white, it's snowing. If the rock is hot, it's sunny..." and so on). I'm drawing a blank on other ones like it, but if you don't have any place like this to browse, you could do an online search and probably find pictures and/or instructions for simple little things like that! HTH!!

whitesocks
One item that a family member gave us one year was a brick spray painted black with the words "Hillbilly Bowling Ball" on it.
whitesocks
Another thing is maybe if you could get a box for something like a PDR or a VCR. Then take a piece of cardboard and tape those magnetic letters to it and put that in the vcr or pdr or such box. Then you could always ask them as they open it if they needed a new VCR or DVD (you get the picture).
holly2hottie
Following in the hillbilly/redneck theme you could make a redneck windchime....beer or soda cans with string to hang. Firemansgal311
A great one I pulled on my dh was a fake lottery ticket. I bought a lot of them on ebay that had about 40 cards and I rifled through them and found one that looked like something dh would play and tucked it in my purse. I went to the store to get some deli sandwiches and bought a few scratch off tix and came home and handed them out. Dh scratched his and started to throw it away then he looked again and just said real quiet omg.... I was like what? trying my best to keep a straight face he said omg... I think I just won something... I looked and said omg let me see it he was all shaking and said I will have to take off work tomorrow so we can drive to Nashville... he proceeded to turn the card over and read the redemption instructions. You could just see his heart sink. I felt so bad, laughing at the same time he said that was so not funny and almost cried. He got up and went outside http://cgi.ebay.com/80-JoKe-GaG-PrAnK-FaKe-LoTTo-LoTTeRy-TiCkEtS-only-8-25_W0QQitemZ130037778354QQihZ003QQcategoryZ102373QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

monkey
One year DH wanted an electric brad nailer so I bought a hammer and extension cord. I hot glued the cord to the hammer and gave it to him on Christmas eve. Everyone got a good laugh. Christmas morning he got the real one. I also did a pencil and an extension cord for a son who wanted a hundred dollar calculator.

missyjane
Chia Pets are always funny. They have so many characters too. We've had the same chia pet come back to our Christmas Eves for 20 years - it's always a wonderful surprise who gets it each year. I've never had it - knock on wood - others have sworn to grow it to see if it really works - but it's still unopened in the box. It's a great year and year after gag gift.
