:smart: To wrap or not to wrap?

Last year I traveled with my gifts unwrapped, stuffed in my check in luggage. I brought my own paper and ribbons to wrap the gifts once we got to my in-laws :yup: My large gifts are going to be shipped, but I don't know what to do with all the rest of them.

What do ya'll do??

The only time I travel during the holidays is to relatives around me. So only drive. They are already wrapped and tagged and ready to pass out. No flying time for me during the holidays

When I was little we went to my Aunt and Uncles in Long Island and I still dont know how my Mom and Dad got everything there. We had a ton and I didnt notice anything in the car. They just of shipped a lot!!

If you check them, they can be wrapped, but it doesn't mean that they won't be opened if the all powerful TSA can't figure out what they are.

If you're going to ship the big ones .. ship everything. Less hassle for you.

Last year, my sister wrapped and checked all her gifts .. half of them were destroyed by the airline and she had to rebuy almost everything.

If you are flying, I'd either pack them unwrapped and wrap them when I get there or I would UPS them to where I am going. We're lucky that we always drive home and don't have that problem. Good luck!

My aunt who comes from FL to NY ships them UPS and/or leaves them UNWRAPPED in her luggage.

She takes any fragil ones in her carry on bag

though she has said she may just get gift cards and a few small things she can bring in her luggage less hassle and save a lot on shipping

I wish I could be content with just buying gift cards hehe. I love hunting what I want down and wrapping it too much. I am just gonna go the route of shipping big stuff and packing unwrapped left overs in my luggage.
