robflanker Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Hi all - first post here, despite being a member since last year... I was wondering if anyone remembered whether they had handheld GPS systems on BF last year? I very much doubt they'd be a blitz item but if they were on sale that'd be nice :) If they weren't on sale - anyone with higher BF knowledge then I, think they will be around this year? I kinda want one for the car. Apologies if there is a thread already, had a quick look but didnt see anything Thanks!

robflanker Posted September 28, 2006 Author Posted September 28, 2006 Thanks Ross! I'm looking at the Garman C550 ($600-700) and the TomTom One ($500-600) currently. I need to get one soonish and I'd hate for me to spend that kind of money and then see them whilst on my blitzing on BF! Judging by the prices it doesnt seem like there was such a massive pricedrop on BF compared to everyday prices

We will have to see.
janeey Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 That's on my wish list too - but I was hoping that I could get one for $200 or less at BB so I can use my BBB that I get from McDonalds Monopoly on it. However, it looks like I won't be able to get a decent one at that price. I'll probably have to go around getting lost all the time for another year or so - hope they keep coming down in price...
eligirl Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 I've had a Garman Nuvi 350 for the past 4-5 months and its an incredible unit. I paid close to $800 at the time but I think you can get it for $499 either at BB or CC. I've taken this thing up and down the east coast so far and never ran into any problems. My suggestion is to go for the Nuvi 350. It won't dissapoint you.
RossMAN Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 The best deal on an automotive GPS which speaks directions is the Garmin c320 for $268 I paid $369 for the same GPS a few months ago
