Sorry for the late reply, I just opened it a few days ago and have not been able to post. I used both of my coupons today. 😁

Our tree is sitting there naked, too. It is a prelit tree so it's not totally naked, but close to it. I'm not sure if it'll get decorated or not. This is our first year having a tree up with our current cat so I guess you could say this is just a trial run on it. 😆

My tree is in a pot. It sat on a stand for a couple of weeks before I decorated it with small bells. It looks festive without any other decorations. 🙂

Same, but I'll be putting the ornaments on mine throughout the week this week. The boxes of ornaments are in a handy location for easy access. Finished my outdoor decor yesterday since it was 50+ degrees out. Perfect to get the inflatables set up and staked down properly.

My cat used to sleep under the tree. She never messed with it, or knocked anything over like all the horror stories you hear. She just liked to curl up under there in her safe little cocoon. I used to wonder if SHE wondered why the tree wasn't there all year 🙂.

December post!  Missed out on winning the big prize this year but love the Tshirt and wore it with pride on black Friday when out shopping.

Christmas is a little over a week away and I saw valentines candy in a store yesterday. 

 

I wonder how soon next year's Christmas sales will start.

It does seem odd they have been so quick to remove the Christmas decorations from the store.  We usually have Christmas around the first weekend of January (to coincide with my mom's birthday), so I hope they still have post Christmas sales on decorations, its the best time to find it.

Don’t tempt them or they may start the day after Christmas.

It's hard to believe we only have 2 more days of school and I'm off for 2 weeks. Even harder to believe is that I have so much wrapping to do and I know I still have some shopping to do and just no desire or motivation to do it.

I don’t fully know why but it’s been a weird Christmas season for me. I just can’t really get into it this year. Which is very unusual for me. I have nothing wrapped, still have some presents to buy. Will most likely end up finishing those this weekend and try to get things wrapped up.

It’s been a mixed morning so far, and I haven’t even been awake an hour yet.

 

Good news is Social Security has approved my Medicare application and I have been issued my Medicare number for coverage to start next month. I need to go to DSHS to apply for Senior Medicaid (as my standard adult Medicaid ends at the end of next month) and for assistance with premiums and deductibles.

 

Bad news is Beorn’s Hanukkah present was supposed to be delivered yesterday. I even received an email from USPS to expect delivery by 9 PM. It didn’t arrive.

 

This morning Informed Delivery shows the last time the package was scanned was in Colorado on Sunday, and the update says “arriving late, expected delivery unknown.” I reached out to the company who mailed it, but haven’t heard back and honestly don’t expect anything from them since they mailed it out on time.

Hopefully the package reappears and gets delivered before needed. USPS has been struggling this holiday season at least with my handful of packages. 2 packages dispatched from same company, dropped off at same location, taking same route, arrived just a little over a week after each other which is bad enough without considering the usual delivery time for them is 2 days total (Orlando to Miami). I've got another arriving today that's been out and about since 7th. If it's stuck at a location opening a ticket via contact us on usps page usually gets it moving again, not sure it'll help with holiday mail though

Ooo…

 

This is good to know. It does appear to have never left Colorado, according to tracking. I’ll give it a try.
