(I know there are worse problems) but I need to come up with something besides fresh made bread A gift that I received a few years ago from my parents, that I didn't know I needed until I had it, was a platform ladder. Besides using it for painting, it's been used as a bench and a table for camping. 2
packratfamily Posted November 23 Posted November 23 (edited) Well, I have started a food basket for the hard to buy for. So far just seedless raspberry jam and blueberry syrup. Will add some maple syrup (I know they like) and go from there. No wrong size and no need to dust edit to add: we diid get some of those Fire Extinguishing Blankets that are being advertised. I think they might be nice (and hope to not-need). Edited November 23 by packratfamily Add on 1 1

What do you get someone who is 77 and doesn’t need “stuff”??? Help a girl out here… Time with you if you live nearby. Take them out to dinner or a local Christmas event.

packratfamily Posted December 8 Posted December 8 Got some house stuff on black Friday but got some gifts on line. Not too motivated this year Maybe snow would help
tjredsox4 Posted December 9 Posted December 9 I did most of my shopping online this year. It doesn’t feel like Black Friday without paper ads or waiting in lines in the early hours of the morning.
speeddiva Posted December 9 Posted December 9 I have a new pet peeve…companies who tell you your order has shipped when all they have done is created the label 5

Otherwise just usual USPS holiday foolishness. I'm waiting on multiple packages from same place. Last to ship is arriving today, original due Friday stuck in transit between locations. I'm just hoping it didn't fall through a Crack and get lost. My BIGGEST pet peeve recently is USPS marking things delivered hours before they are. It's not the first time but when it's a gift card in question I worry. And it's just shitty practice insurance wise or whatever. Plus, our carrier misdelivers stuff regularly so it's a genuine concern with holiday packages. 2

I’ve tried hard these last few weeks to not order from anywhere that I know uses USPS for delivery because our mail service is horrible……from our carrier all the way to the sorting facility. I like to say that the big sorting facility is the black hole of USPS here, where packages go to die. I haven’t fully succeeded in not having USPS deliver a package but it was rare, thankfully. 1

It's hard to avoid having stuff delivered by USPS because the packages often start out with a different carrier and you don't know it's going to USPS until you check the progress and see it's gone to USPS...or they say it's delivered and you can't find it and you check the progress with the place it was supposed to be coming from and there is a note it was sent to USPS so no tracking is available. 1
