Subforums are open for the year

As I do every year after Labor Day I've opened the various sub-forums here to unofficially start our coverage of the Black Friday & holiday shopping season.

As Black Friday itself becomes less and less significant we'll continue with the "Sale & Ad Discussion" forum having threads not only for Black Friday ads but also for many of the additional sales and catalogs that get posted on the site, whether they take place on Black Friday or not.

Also, there will be t-shirts given away this year. Not quite as many as past years but I've got a few dozen here and they are kinda fun this year... more details soon.

I miss Black Friday the way it used to be but love this site for all the fun and information.

Same!

And having been around for so many years, the GD crew feels like family, even though I've never met any of ya in real life (that I know of! lol). 🙂 💙

I wish more ads were in print. I miss going through the big stack of ads on Thanksgiving to prepare for where to go first to get the best Black Friday deals.

WHAT?! Is this not a thing anymore? I know I've been pretty MIA the last 2 years but is there no point to walking to the gas station to get ads this year?

We still bought papers last year (and probably will this year), but the # of ads actually printed and in the paper was sad.

I just wish more ads in general were print again! I never know what is on sale anymore.
