Brad Posted September 3, 2024 Posted September 3, 2024 As I do every year after Labor Day I've opened the various sub-forums here to unofficially start our coverage of the Black Friday & holiday shopping season. As Black Friday itself becomes less and less significant we'll continue with the "Sale & Ad Discussion" forum having threads not only for Black Friday ads but also for many of the additional sales and catalogs that get posted on the site, whether they take place on Black Friday or not. 5
Kanyon71 Posted September 4, 2024 Posted September 4, 2024 Walked outside early this morning to take the dog out and there the air was cooler. Came in and saw all the forums open. Going to be a good day. 3
Hubbalance Posted September 6, 2024 Posted September 6, 2024 Black Friday still makes me excited too!
cllehto Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 I still like black Friday. It's not quite as exciting spread out like it now is but still good deals to be had if you're looking for what's on sale.
Brad Posted September 9, 2024 Author Posted September 9, 2024 Also, there will be t-shirts given away this year. Not quite as many as past years but I've got a few dozen here and they are kinda fun this year... more details soon. 2 1 4
ilikefree Posted September 10, 2024 Posted September 10, 2024 I miss Black Friday the way it used to be but love this site for all the fun and information. 1

And having been around for so many years, the GD crew feels like family, even though I've never met any of ya in real life (that I know of! lol). 1 1 2

tinkrbel Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 Bring on the ads/speculation and good luck all on shirts!
cllehto Posted September 21, 2024 Posted September 21, 2024 I wish more ads were in print. I miss going through the big stack of ads on Thanksgiving to prepare for where to go first to get the best Black Friday deals. 7 1
Suzy Crampton Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 (edited) Black Friday is not the same without all the print ads. But I am so ready to decorate for Christmas Quote Edited September 22, 2024 by Suzy Crampton 2 1

I know I've been pretty MIA the last 2 years but is there no point to walking to the gas station to get ads this year? 1

We still bought papers last year (and probably will this year), but the # of ads actually printed and in the paper was sad. 1
