looking for MS word office

I am looking for a good deal for microsoft word office, 2003 edition or newer. I am a teacher so I can get the student teacher edition for around $150, but I hate paying over $100 for this. Anyone know of a deal out there? Thanks

2007 beta works pretty well and it's free until sometime next year.

Do you know anyone who attends a state university.? Most universities have a contract with Microsoft, as well as many other companies, and allow students to purchase the software MUCH cheaper! For example here at Southern Illinois University we can purchase it for only $10.

I teach at a community college, I haven't heard of this but I will check into it.

You can go to www.openoffice.org and get a free generic version of Microsoft Works. I use it and it is just as good. I would try that out for free before I purchased anything. I agree with the university discounts, too.

I know the university here will supply instructors with such software.. so I would def. look into it at the school you teach at.. they might be able to hook you up with a copy.. I dunno each school might be different. but its worth a shot.
