Scott Posted August 2, 2006 Share Posted August 2, 2006 Ok... It seems like deals on USB flash drives are always poping up on the front page. I want to get a new one 1-2GB, but have hesitated on pulling the trigger just yet. Why you ask? I currently have about 3 thumb drives that I use, and NONE of them have the cap any more. I'm tired of loosing the stupid things. I'm looking for the best deal that I can find on one that has an integrated cap. I also don't want one where the USB plug is a mechanism that can be moved in and out. There is a lot of lint in my pockets, and I know that will just end up in the USB plug. I just don't want stuff getting stuck in there. I have that problem with my current ones with no caps. I have a couple of the ultra small PQI ones, but lost the cap to the holder. The other one is an older sandisk 256MB. Replacing the caps on these doesn't really matter as I will just pass them on to family members that can use them. How about this? Ativa™ U3 USB 2.0 Flash Drive, 1.0GB, With Included Software, on sale this week (in CA at least) at Office Depot for $24.99. There is also a 2GB one, but it's not on sale and $114.99 If you do get the bigger one, I might have a coupon laying around somewhere for it (I think it's only good on orders $75 or more.
