The early access thing sucks in my opinion... basically pay to play or don't get the best deals.

It's becoming a common thing. Amazon gives Prime members early access to some Lightning Deals, Target has done it for REDcard holders for BF and other deals. GameStop requires a Pro Rewards membership for some PS5/Xbox Series S/X console releases, etc.

Anything they can do to get more people to sign up for their membership programs they'll try.

I'm guessing they won't let Walmart+ members buy up all the stock - they'll probably just put a smaller percentage available and then save the rest for the main on-sale. Walmart+ members get 3 hours, then there is an hour break before everyone gets a shot - that could be when they re-stock.

I have been watching TVs climb in price all year all around the internet - something I paid $99 for is now $70 more - ON SALE!  Crazy! :(

Obviously not just TVs, but we are so used to TV prices continuously dropping that this new reality is shocking.  Glad I have nine already ;-)

Maybe people will pass on this year's 'deals' and we can clean up after Christmas.

15 day free trial for the Walmart +. Just an idea to sign up if there is something you really want.

Free trial members don't get access - only paying members. So you'd have to fork over the $13 for a month.

Does anyone think they will do the gift card deal for phone upgrades? It looks like they are doing 50% off phone this year instead.

I hope so I have been holding out upgrading

Th only item I want for all of BF is in the first event so it looks like I’m going to have to find a friend who is a member. I don’t want to miss out by waiting the extra 4 hours and the inevitable website slowdown that happens at 7pm.

If you have any Amex credit cards, check the Amex Offers section on the site/app and you might have an offer for a free month of Walmart+. My offer was 1,500 reward points when you spend $12.95 on Walmart+. Others have a $12.95 credit when you spend that amount.

Also if you have an Amex Platinum (consumer version) you get Walmart+ for free.

Same. I wanted to upgrade my daughter's line for her for Christmas and use the gift card towards my son a swing set. With the looks of it they aren't going to have it. They have the activation deals for upgrade/add a line for 50% off phone purchase which is about what the gift card would be. Although it's a good deal I decided to go ahead and upgrade her line on Verizon's website since they was doing $250 off a tablet. Got my daughter an iPad for $209. Better then nothing.

Just to be clear, the presales for Walmart+ members is four hours, not three hours, and specifically states that it EXCLUDES trial memberships.

But those are older phones. Didn't see any deals on newer model phones.

They normally don't have the newest phones for the upgrade. It's usually the year old model so an iPhone 12 would be what is on sale this year. That's what is in the ad if I am not mistaken. Be my luck they have the gift card deal on the 3rd even lol

Can't say I'm excited about the Walmart+ getting early access, but then again, I didn't really see anything of interest.  I don't have much of a list this year so maybe that's part of it.

For those of you thinking of signing up for Walmart+ to get early access to BF deals, you can start signing up today and that single month for $12.95 will take you through all 3 BF sales.

Can anyone tell me if you will be able to use the self checkout feature during the the in store sale.

So I have never attempted to shop Walmart online for their major sales, but I really want to get the lego and duplo deal. For someone who has shopped BF for over 20 years I feel like a complete rookie right now.

I know to expect slow speeds and glitches but that’s about it. Any recommendations or tips on how to snag the bargain online? Should I open the page for the item I’m interested in and just keep refreshing until the sale price appears? Can I load it into my online shopping cart ahead of time?

I always used self checkout during the Black Friday sales. Our stores are mainly self checkout now anyways. They normally had a couple more employees overseeing the checkout during it.

Walmart's site is always iffy for me. Some years I can have it in my cart and when the sale goes live my cart clears while other times it would change to the sale price. I normally have the ad open to the item I want. Right before the sale goes live I click the item on the sales ad, click shop now, then let it load the page in a new tab. Walmart is known to let sales go live before the time stated (also for some items not to show up for hours later) so I also keep a separate tab open and click through the items I want to see if they pop up beforehand. Last year I snagged the Apple watch around 6:45 even though it wasn't suppose to go live until 7. Also keep an mind that if an item shows out of stock they normally do a restock every 30 minutes/1 hour so don't lose hope if you don't get the item on the first try.
