I'm surprised because $499 usually gets you an entry level laptop with Celeron/256 not Pentium-M/1GB.

Wow, much better specs than I expected. I've already used my budgeted "extra" cash for the next couple of months. This would be a decent deal.

I think this is also the one I just got last month. They're offering more now though for not much more $$. (mine was $482 shipped)

Only problem I've had with it was when I first started using it, about 10 seconds after I would turn it on and it would load to the desktop, it would freeze up. (turned out to be something with the wireless-- as long as I disable it before I shut down, and wait a minute or two after turning it on to enable it, it works ok).

holy.. grr why did i miss that. i was waiting for that 40% off 999 to pick up my e510.

 

anyone have a clue how much % did they take off ?
