geekgirldany Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 It will work on usb 1.0 to correct? This will be great for taking customer files, drivers, etc instead of burning a cd or zip each time.
RossMAN Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Yes this is backwards compatible with USB 1.1 It's also Windows plug & play which is nice because it requires no drivers or software. Just plug it into the USB port and Windows instantly recognizes it as a removeable media source. Also works with Windows 98 SE and Macintosh OS 8.6+ I ordered mine before Dell runs out of inventory :)
geekgirldany Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 I'm ordering mine now :) okay some problems here. its not letting me check out
RossMAN Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 During check out remember to select the free ground shipping option.
geekgirldany Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 looks like they are having some website problems right now can't sign in or check out
RossMAN Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Uh oh they're probably getting hammered or network maintenance, keep trying.
geekgirldany Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 just when I find a great price on one of these the dang website isn't working. I'm still trying.
geekgirldany Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 I finally got it ordered around 3:30am :)
RossMAN Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Persistence pays off! Dany - how do you plan on using this? I already have a Kingston 512MB loaded with Ad-ware, Spybot, AVG, FireFox installer, and other must have apps. Plus a few MP3's, bookmarks, etc.
geekgirldany Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Opps missed this thread somehow. I'm going to use it for when I go to customers office to work on QuickBooks or Computer Problems. Thought it would be good for drivers, spyware programs, etc. And given that its 1gb is just perfect for those customers that have not compressed the data in their QuickBooks file for several years :) Appears that it is backordered
