Gon2beastar Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 Hi! Me again ! I have only Done the BF rush once, and that was last year. I am wondering about stores in the mall. Since Im in Illinois I have woodfield mall, and theres TONNS of stores! I was wondering if the stores there "did" black friday also? mainly I am questioning about Sephora, Mac Cosmetics, Sharper Image, Sports Authority, ETC As my Family is crazy and is not normal and doesnt "like" anything that is at walmart, target, etc thats 2 minutes away ( except my Grandmother and uncle.. :\ Picky Picky Picky..)

KayBee Toys are in there and we line up on the side entrance to the mall and the employees "walk" us to the store. Also, a Sears is right there, but they don't open till 7am whereas KayBee opens up at 5am! Its the only store in the mall that does open that early.
psychoace Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 I worked at the fox valley mall for sear (in naperville/aurora IL we should meet up and buy stuff together gon2beastar) and they usually have lines inside the mall area well before 6pm it's crazy i worked 12 hours that day

Sounds like its crazy in there! hmm regarding the stores in woodfield, I think Ill try it and see if they have black friday sales either way Im going to have to buy some things there any ways.. The year of the Great Furby there was a BF on Furbees at Montgomery Ward, but they were telling people to line up at the back entrance...if you didn't know about it and stood at the mall entrance, you were SOL.

I remember my first year I called KayBee Toys and they told me where to line up. Here a bunch of people were lining up on the other entrance to the mall. Needless to say they were upset
2minnies Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Thanks for the tip about finding out where to line up at the mall. I usually hit Shopko or Walmart first and that's easy, but I'm thinking Sears this year...any they have at least 4 outside entrances plus the one inside the mall. I'll have to call the store and find out.
