Guest Frieked Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Requirements: Doesn't need to be a deskotp replacement, must be light weight as I'll be doing some field work with it, doesn't have to be ultra-portable so I'm thinking about 14" Must have good battery life. Budget about $1200, flexible.
joonshin Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 buy my laptop! http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=39164
mrn8 Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 A Dell Latitude D620 would be perfect, I think. Pentium-D, 512mb RAM, 14.1" XGA, Internal wireless, 9-cell battery (only $29 upgrade).

It says it sticks out an inch from the front of the laptop. I think I'd like a second 6 cell better and it's only a little bit more.

You could always go with 2 6-cells, so you could swap if you needed to.
