Looking for a laptop for work

Requirements: Doesn't need to be a deskotp replacement, must be light weight as I'll be doing some field work with it, doesn't have to be ultra-portable so I'm thinking about 14"

Must have good battery life.

Budget about $1200, flexible.

A Dell Latitude D620 would be perfect, I think.

If it is for work, I would go with a Latitude as well. They have good build quality and support.

D620 looks nice, I dunno about the 9cell battery though. It says it sticks out an inch from the front of the laptop. I think I'd like a second 6 cell better and it's only a little bit more.

Yeah, I wouldn't go with the 9-cell, but if battery life is more important than size it would be worth the small price difference. You could always go with 2 6-cells, so you could swap if you needed to.
