Brad Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I mentioned to RossMAN that this forum should contain a little bit of nostalgia from the "golden days" of online hot deals. I think the other old-timers would get a kick out of some of these things, and all the young kids who weren't around would like to see what they missed, so here is the first installment of some old e-mails I have with some "classic deals". RossMAN Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 ActuaryTm, Welcome to the GottaDeal.com forums :) I remember that Amazon/ToysRUs deal, that was HOT!
steveh Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 I don't still have the emails, but I remember buying nearly $1000 worth of *toys* online for my nephews for the Christmas of... ummm... 2000, I think... cost me less than $50 for all of due to free shipping and ridiculous coupons ($50 of $50 purchase, etc)... Or what about more.com? I remember buying a 16-pack of Mach3 razor blades every other month or so from them for $1, with free shipping, and the price was locked in "for life"... or until they sold out to somebody else...
Scott Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 What memories... ValueAmerica... man. That was a good christmas. My wife and I each had an account and got so much stuff for 1/2 price that year. Am I the only WMC here? :)

Scott Posted October 15, 2004 Posted October 15, 2004 I witnessed and remember the WMC saga but was not a participant.I ordered one, but I knew they wouldn't go through. I diddn't get all bent out of shape about it though. Somepeople were really upset about that. It was kind of entertaining to sit back and watch.
Guest Luckycharm Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Wow, I don't have any receipts, am wracking my brain to remember!
