Brad
The timing of this (if it happens) means that we'll still end up posting a Sears BF ad because it was likely finalized weeks ago but the stores likely won't honor the sale as they'll be doing liquidation sales most likely. Bopeep
Our last Sears just closed its doors (or, if not, they are in the last few days). I went in when everything was marked way down already, and checked out with over $50 total. The cashier handed me my receipt, and then handed me a gift card and said "Here! You earned a $10 gift card!" with a big smile on her face. I laughed, and said a $10 gift card to a store that's closing???
stewarta4
Not surprising...glad I was able to get a good deal on new Kenmore appliances from them earlier in the year.

Brad
http://searsholdings.com/press-releases/pr/2116 So they found enough $ to be able to file for chapter 11 instead of chapter 7. So stores and the web sites stay open for now although they are going to close even more stores by the end of the year. Just postponing the inevitable in my opinion...
Kanyon71
Wish someone with some business sense would buy them and bring them back. They need updating and the current company is not the one to do it.

budgetsRsexy
I just heard on the radio that Lowe’s is the new home of craftsman tools. My grandpa always loved giving me craftsman tools over the years so I’m glad that they will stick around at least.

I have seen a lot of Craftsman in ACE Hardware since then also.

Fishboysmom
I was shocked at the customer service I received from Sears today (in a good way). I picked up a pair of pants that I bought on clearance for like $5. I was waiting for 5 minutes and the guy brings out a pair that he knows are the wrong color (someone pulled the wrong color). He asked what color I ordered, and goes back to find them. Ten minutes have passed by now, and I was a little annoyed but wasn't going to make a big deal about it. The guy says thanks for waiting and it should not have taken that long. He said "I am going to give you 25,000 points for your inconvenience. That's $25!
