BobbyDouglas
Don't hold your breath. I highly doubt this will be around $500 for a year or so. Maybe Ross can shed some light on it, but I doubt it.
Brad
LOL. We didn't think this would ever get under $700 a few months ago and low look at it - anything's possible. Dell might release a new version to replace this model.
ups^
I agree with Ross. The 2001FP is really something to behold. Not only just because of its size, but also because of the numerous features and its performance. At this price there's no contest as to which 20" LCD you should get. I got my refurbed 2001FP back in May for $612 shipped which I thought was a steal. $609 shipped for a brand new one is just insane.

RossMAN
If we purchase this from Dell Home Electronics and Accessories what do you think the warranty coverage is? http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/monitors/2001fp/EN/INDEX.HTM

RossMAN
We'll wait and see. Either it will go back to Dell or I'll sell it for a profit. I already have some people locally asking me if they can buy it, lol.
RossMAN
Does this come with a DVI cable?
cyberSAR
Rossman, Regarding the warranty, I actually looked it up in their terms: How long does this limited warranty last? This limited warranty lasts for the time period indicated on your packing slip or invoice, except for the following Dell-branded hardware: .... Monitors carry the longer of either a 3-year limited warranty or the remainder of the warranty for the Dell computer to which the monitor will be connected. ... RossMAN
cyberSAR, Thanks for the info. Does anyone's 2001FP packing slip list warranty coverage (1, 2 or 3 years)?
cyberSAR
Hey Ross, No warranty on the packing slip. It is a 3 year warranty for the monitors the way I read it in their terms.
