I got the items I really wanted last night online from the stores, however I kind of curious what $2 DVD's are left at Walmart and wondering if they would have any more Mason jars.  My question is this- I live in a small town (no stores) and the store next to me has about 10k people.  They only have a Walmart and Dollar General (among Black Friday stores), but are within 30 miles of a big town with most stores.  Since Walmart in store begins now and most stores in the morning open at 6 AM, do you think the small town Walmart will be mostly dead at 3 AM?  I would think most would hit it now and the second wave wouldn't hit until after they are done with the other stores in the bigger city (which has 3 or 4 Walmart's btw).

So, would 3 AM be a quiet time to hit up Walmart for leftover deals?  I'm busy the rest of the day until about 4PM so its my only time to hit it and if I miss it, no big deal.

I would be shocked if ANY walMart has any kind of steady flow at 3am. That is the least opportune time to go to WM with the other stores opening at 6am/7am, that's where I'd expect people to go at that time.

I wasn't able to go this morning, but have to make a trip in a couple hours anyways so I'll see what's left.  I don't expect much, but its also become quite fun to see what is left after most the people are done.

Those of you out at 1am, 3am, etc... how were the crowds?

It wasnt that bad. I went home and went to sleep for a few hours and got back out there at 6:15 and it still was pretty tame, then around 9:30am it got really busy. I was more tired weaving around people then anything else.

Same here. Had a fine time at Walmart, Home Depot and Bed Bath & Beyond beginning at 5 AM this morning. The Home Depot rush didn't last long at all so I was able to browse around all the displays without too much issue, buggy and all. Came back home around 7:30, slept and then back out at 10:30 and Lordy mercy it didn't take long at all to say I was done. Got a few targeted items, had lunch and back home to sleep again. Lol. But my car is full from today's spree so it's time to be done anyway. Ha!

I ventured in Bath and Body works and it was insane. The check out line wrapped around the store, it was way over capacity and it seemed like someone dropped a box of candles everywhere. JCPenny looked like a war zone. It was like a flood of people just ambushed every store I went to. I get to the next store and it is tamed then 5 minutes later there there. I felt like I was the target of a cruel game and on top of it no one would pay for my stuff . Brad need to design a shirt with sirens so next year I can scare them away.

B&BW was standing room only and nowhere to even turn around. Definitely over capacity! I couldnt even begin to try to find the one thing I went in after. Never again on Black Friday. Never again. On a side note, they were covered up with the special totes still.
