Jen08
I'm sure this has been posted in the past, but I love to read others past BF stories. I still remember my very 1st BF. It had taken my SIL and MIL several years to talk me into actually shopping with them on BF b/c I just couldn't imagine getting out in the BF crowds to shop. I had NO idea how good of sales there were. I finally went with them and only had around $250 with me. I bought so many gifts and was just amazed at how good I did b/c of all the good deals. I've been hooked ever since. One year I stood in line to get an Xbox 360 for DS. I just knew I wasn't going to get it. I was sick as a dog and had to have people hold my spot in line so I could run to the bathroom to puke several times but I GOT THE XBOX!! Makes me think of the things we do for our children. (FYI...I wasn't sick from a virus or flu. I was sick from going off of no sleep. I wouldn't actually go shopping with something that could infect others even for BF) Anyway, what are your stories?
Jeanne515
My favorite had to have been about 14 years ago. We were on vacation in the Smoky Mountains. I couldn't take my girls shopping as they were still into "Santa" but I needed an extra person to help me stand in 2 different lines. My brother volunteered. How bad could it be, he thought. We went to Walmart at Sevierville. It was one of those 3 am openings and everything was wrapped in black plastic. Well I found the pallet with this specific toy that I needed and told him to stand there. When the plastic is cut, grab the toy. Then go to our meeting spot. I went to get something else. Anyways, I meet up with him, he is white as a ghost. He was shaking. All he could say was, how did that many toys disappear at once??? He was the only person standing there 5 minutes prior to plastic cutting and barely managed to get the toy. But he did get it. He never went shopping again with me much less Black Friday shopping. He still would talk about those toys "disappearing" every black Friday. He passed away last year and I miss him terribly but this memory makes me smile. After my daughters found out about Santa, he shared this story with them. They felt honored that he went thru that for them.

Bopeep
We've made a lot of memories. A few of note would be: the year my sister and I showed up at the mall super early to go to KB Toys, only to find out that mall didn't HAVE a KB Toys. Then there was the year my sister stood in line to get in to Toys R Us, the line went all the way out to the street (don't know why they didn't have them lined up against the building), it was sleeting and her coat was in my car (I had left to go somewhere ELSE for a different "must have")! Or more recently, when my dil got my grandson a recliner. The guy at Atwoods was like "no way is that going to fit in the car". Well...http://i1112.photobucket.com/albums/k499/ts1852/603995_4109324451295_1861433049_n.jpg
