If you can deal with Refurb Apple has them on their online store, usually some decent deals (to the mac world) on there. Also Mac Mall usually has some good deals.

Great, thanks Kanyon. I don't think I'd want a refurb, but Mac Mall looks solid.

Are you a student or faculty member?  You can try apple edu pricing.  I saved a couple hundred per macbook and got the apple care at a discount for my college son.

They are refurbed by Apple and come with the same warranty as the new ones if that helps you out.
