Kanyon71
I was there last Friday It's an awesome place, I could spend a fortune there. You can rush through or you can take an entire day looking at everything. Don't just look at the stuff for sale make sure you look up at the ceilings where they have everything decorated. I honestly wonder how many Christmas trees they have in there. After that it was off to Frankenmuth for a chicken dinner.

speeddiva
Bronner's is great. They have such unique stuff. Be sure to explore outside too. The Silent Night chapel is neat. There is a huge outlet mall up the road in Birch Run also. Edited October 29, 2015 by speeddiva
beccasbank
Bronner's is great! So much to see. They have various themes all set up for their decorations. You can have things personalized, shipped and wrapped up in cute little boxes. I live about 10 minutes from there, so I go frequently. Speaking of which....I have a new nephew being born in the next few days (hopefully) and should probably go get him an ornament!! I got ornaments for the ornament exchange on GD from Bronner's a few years ago. Be sure to check out Zehnder's for their famous chicken! The red currant wine is delicious!! Speaking of which (again LOL) I need to pick some up for my paint & wine party next weekend! Thanks for the reminders!!I went at the end of July, but would love to take a Girls Trip in November. I asked my cashier what Black Friday was like and she said, "CRAZY".Birch Run outlets are crazy too! They do a pajama theme and lots of people go in their jammies! dessenma
We go there every year. We were actually there 2 weeks ago. Love it. Downtown Frankenmuth has lots of nice little shops. Ofcourse, there is Zehnder's chicken dinners also. I joined their birthday club a few years ago. Basically on my receipt every year is a coupon for $10.00 off $50.00 at Bronners. I do not know if everyone gets that or if it is hooked to the birthday club. I know the free ornament is hooked to your birthday club. We tend to hit just a few stores in River's Place. Basically the Tervis store, the Yankee Candle store and the Sugar High Bakery. The owner of the bakery was one of the winners of Cupcake Wars on The Food Network. Birch Run is an awesome outlet mall. Definitely make some time for that also. It is just a few miles down the road. If you should happen to stop at Tony's to eat, be careful of ordering anything with bacon. You basically get a pound of bacon with it! This place was featured on Diners, Drive Inn and Dives or one of those shows like that. Enjoy your trip. We might try to get back up there before Christmas this year.

shopping4my3son
My kind of store. Would love to visit one day but I am all the way in PA...It's going to be at least an 8 hour drive for us. Plus stopping to eat and stretch. We've wanted to go for awhile though. msomnipotent
I've been a couple of times. We have stayed at the Bavarian Inn before. It was good enough, but the kids want to stay at the hotel closer to Bronners with the big water park. I think it was called Zehnders, just like the chicken. In my experience, Bronners is usually a little crowded, but I have also been told it is off the chain nutty nuts on BF. One cashier told me they get 10,000 customers just on that one day. I'm pretty sure I would tear my hair out.
wittenlover
It is indeed Zehnder's that is the closer of the two. I used to go to Frankenmuth (and Bronner's) every year, but haven't been in a few years, simply because I haven't had the time when I've been in a mood to go. It's almost a 2 hour drive for me one-way, so it's an all day thing if I'm going to go. I do love it there, though. The "cheese haus" in town always has some interesting flavors, too. Kanyon71
I'm sure we will be heading back there in the next 3-4 weeks. Want some snow so that we can take our little one on a horse drawn carriage ride through town. As for busy it all depends on when you go during the week during the day it's usually good. Weekend ya not so much lol. We are going to try staying at Zehnder's Splash Village sometime soon also.
AuntJamelle
Love Bronners! And Frankenmuth in general! We've been a few times. Last time we stayed at the Bavarian Inn and really enjoyed it. We're planning to go back with DS (now 5) and the hotel with a water park sounds perfect!

shopping4my3son
We went this past weekend. Left on Friday AM. Headed south through Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, then to Michigan. Even though I started looking for a hotel a while ago and made reservations last month we had to stay in Bridgeport because so many were full! Before we let I renewed my SiriusXM subscription so we listened to Christmas music the entire trip (except for a few hours on Sunday for football). First stop was the outlet mall in Birch Run. We have 3 outlet malls within a couple hours of us here so we just went in the ones we didn't have. Stocked up at the Pepperidge Farm store. We had supper at Tony's restaurant. Such large portions! Drove through Bronner's at night so we could see everything lit up. Saturday we got to Bronner's by 10:30 and it was getting a little busy already. I believe they opened at 10:00. We took our time and looked through the entire store. Stopped for a snack of milk and Christmas cookies. Some of the ornaments are soooo expensive. We spent about $350 which is way under what we thought we would have spent lol! By the time we left the store was packed full. They said they get 50,000 people over the Thanksgiving weekend. We had a late lunch / early supper at the Bavarian Inn. Very busy place. No reservations before 4:00 so we had to stand in line for over 30 minutes before being seated. Food was ok. Coming back to this thread I see some mentioned Zehnder's, I wonder if they would have been better? There was horse and carriage rides being offered outside the restaurant so we did that. $50 for 4 people and we spent a lot of time in parking lots. Stopped at the clock store (forgot name) and I was very temped to buy a cuckoo clock but we have plans on moving next year and I worry about it being damaged. I do want a really nice one in the future. Also picked up some fudge/candy. Continued heading north in Michigan our trip, we wanted to the Mackinac Bridge. Spent the night in Mackinaw City then drove home through upper Michigan Sunday. Lots of driving to do a trip around Lake Michigan and lots of walking at our stops. We are glad we went and the kids had fun too.
wittenlover
Oh how I miss Tony's! We used to trek up there from Flint when I was in college. Bunch of us pile in a car and bring back enough leftovers to keep us fed for a few days. Must go back soon! lol

LOLNo doubt there pound of back huge plate of hash browns seemed like a loaf of bread and a dozen eggs First time we ate there when I was young we all ordered what we thought was a normal breakfast. People in the kitchen must have thought they were feeding a football team.
beccasbank
Here's a pic of Tony's banana split! I think they use a gallon of each flavor. Their BLT uses a full pound of bacon! It is just too much....but sooooo good! Lol Edited November 20, 2015 by beccasbank
