Marcster
Ashley, if you can find one with a optical zoom lense, I'd recommend that vs. the one at Wal-mart.
mrn8
Can you go up $5? If so, this Canon is far superior to those. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16830120181 If I were you I would avoid HP and Kodak at all costs. They are good for about 1 year, and then the images tend to start getting bad because the sensors don't last. If you need to use Walmart, this is your best option in that range. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4324489

I guess you could get an extended warranty on it if you wanted the Kodak.
bodeca29
I have Kodak and love them. Hubby just bought me a new one for Valentine's day only because I wanted a better optical zoom. My older one is the 4 megapixel and is in PERFECT condition. Listing that on craigslist and using some of it to buy a new camera dock :) Try looking at circuit city too not just for prices but for the customer reviews. I go there frequently for that. Oh I also defintely agree with Marcster. Optical zoom for me is a must have because with digital zoom the pictures tend to get pixelated and blurry. For regular picture taking 4x optical zoom should be fine but I am loving my 10x *LOL*
bodeca29
This one got pretty good reviews. It is similar to my other one. However just an FYI the video has no sound which is a no-no for me but you may feel differently.http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Kodak-EasyShare-C300-Digital-Camera/sem/rpsm/oid/119999/catOid/-13062/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Fujifilm-FinePix-A345-Digital-Camera/sem/rpsm/oid/118188/catOid/-13062/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do You can most likely get these cheaper if you search around but the reviews are from actual customers rather then experts who I don't put much faith in *LOL* Much rather take the opinion from everyday people like me :)
