help! w/ elf on a shelf

i can't find our elf. 

he doesn't usually appear until next week--after dd's birthday...but i've looked in all my normal hiding spots and he's not  there. oh no!

i think i need to buy a new one. if he doesn't appear next week, it'll be horrible.  

(this is a reason not to start this tradition but that boat has sailed.)

 

anyone see the elf on sale?

 

the lowest price i can figure is 20% off the full price $29.99 at bedbath. yikes!

Try craigslist. Friends of ours got one from there.
