riven3d Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 wow I am really shocked they did not go earlier, considering every year they have been the cause of the early start times
sbwolfer Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I'm glad they didn't go earlier. Sounds like they've stepped up their game though. Online layaway sounds nice and they're making it easier to find items in store. Sounds good to me. I've never had a bad BF experience at TRU though. They always have tons of employees throughout the store offering help and even though the line is a million miles long it moves at a steady pace.
bribri25 Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 I think TRU does one of the best jobs for the sheer volume of shoppers they get per square footage. I've never set foot in a TRU that had tons of extra open space, or a 'Lawn and Garden' section to put hot items in. Every item is a hot item and there's nowhere to fit that many people in the stores. Most people know where things are and have some idea about the things that are in their ad.
spunkymunky143 Posted November 10, 2014 Posted November 10, 2014 Online layaway?! That is pretty awesome! I imagine, however, that it may become a customer service nightmare with people trying to cancel orders and change things. I'm very interested to see how that plays out! My money says they will regret it, but I hope it works out for those who need it!
sbwolfer Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 I am anxiously waiting for the TRU ad. It's usually out right around this date so I'm hoping it won't be too much longer.
faceofboe Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Same here. This is the last ad I need before I make my game plan. Come on TRU!
faceofboe Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 So "word on the street" from a TRU employee (so just a rumor, take it for what you will) is that TRU is holding off releasing their ad because they feel Walmart stole their deals last year and ran them the week before BF last year. 1
