Help with Perfume

My sister-in-law requested perfume for Christmas.  I don't wear it because it gives me headaches.  I would like to get her something current and nice in the $30-50 price range.  Any ideas?

2 of my favorites are Liz Claiborne(the original in the triangle bottle) and Red Door. Any Liz Claiborne perfume smells great to me though  I having been wearing the original Liz since high school. My daughter wears it to school and her teachers always tell her how good she smells. There are tons of great smelling perfumes but these are just 2 of my all time favorites.

Does she like Bath&body works products? Most of the scents have a matching perfume that goes with them. I love their Twilight Woods.

Personally, I think I would get her a giftcard to Ulta, Sephora, Bath and Body Works, etc.  In my opinion, perfume is a very personal preference. I love fruity scents, but my mom and sister hate them...  One year, I wanted the same perfume that my sister-in-law wears.  I asked for it for Christmas, and DH got me a bottle, but when I wore it, it didn't smell the same on me and it actually make me sick to my stomach because it was too sweet smelling on my skin. Every person's body chemistry is different and scents can smell different from person to person.   If it were me, unless it was something that she tried on, and specifically asked for, I would get a gift card for her.

Ulta Beauty has a very nice selection of current perfumes. Join their Ulta club and she can accumulate points for free items  (if you have one around you).

I love Dolce and Gabanna, light blue and Philosophy's Amazing Grace but I  agree with Audrey Nicole.

I have worn the same perfume since DH and I were dating and he bought me a bottle of Chanel #5. My oldest DD has a hard time finding perfumes that smell good on her too. One year she begged for a bottle of a certain kind, but I refused to buy it unless she tried it out in the store. She did and hated it!! Perfume to me is liking buying tools If you want it  I better have all the details!!

Perfume is tricky.  If she asked for perfume I find it funny she didn't ask for something specific.  I would never and I mean NEVER just buy perfume for someone and take a chance.  It's too expensive.   I would either gift card her or find a way to ask her what she wants.  Better than waste the better part of $100.
