mudd274 Posted November 30, 2013 Posted November 30, 2013 (edited) I placed an order with a cellphone and a sim card and as soon as I clicked pay I realized it was shipping to the wrong address. I clicked on the button to cancel the order. The total was 331.00. I waited for 3 hours and didnt get an email showing that it cancelled. The site was showing processing so I called and was told it was to far along in the process for them to cancel.......I said that I had ask for them to cancel it within 1 minute of placing the order because it was shipping to Tx and I lived in TN. I was told that he would turn it over to the logistics department and maybe they can cancel it. He told me I would have to contact the person at the address and ask them to return it if they didnt get it cancelled in time.......I told him that I do not know who lives there and have no way of contacting them. Today the site says processing and my bank shows that the money has been taken from my acct and theres nothing the bank can do. I call c.service again and was told it had not been cancelled yet and sometimes it takes 3 to 5 days for it to cancel and I would have to wait. They said theres nothing they can do about it until it SHIPS and then I can call and give them the tracking number and they will try to get it returned......This is 331.00 dollars........ I am so mad right now that I could blow .com up !!!! Has anyone had this happen to them? This is bad C.Service in my book !!! Cant stop an order from shipping......... Cant stop an order from shipping.........I wwould have had the bank not clear the payment. IF the payment is stopped then order would not continue.

Debit Card transactions post pretty fast.....and since it wasnt an unaurhorized transaction ( lost card or stolen card) it was nothing the bank could do to help me...

It can be done, I've done it before.I hope you are correct.......it hasnt shipped yet but WalMart isnt going to stop it from shipping according to all emails and phone calls I made. This will be my last dealings with Walmart .com. This is not a way to treat a customer !!!! Im tempted to return all 5 orders totaling over 1200.00 when I get them !!!! I called immediately afterwards and was told that they could not change it. Seriously?? The order wasn't even processed yet. They gave me a $10 gift card for my trouble. I still don't understand why it was an issue, but apparently for them it was.

Walmart.com can do something, their just being lazy about it. Stay on their butts until they do. They had no problem canceling orders and intercepting them after they shipped when they had those HUGE price mistakes. 4

After COUNTLESS interactions with c.s. and it was always someone different....i could not get them to understand that I didnt have items to RETURN....I had nothing to return as they were taken! I finally filed a dispute with Paypal and they refunded my money. Had I not paid with my Paypal card, I would have been screwed.

They don't do that between 11/28/13-12/6/13. So I responded that I want to cancel those 2 items and I will just re buy them at the lower price. Or I'd return them when they arrived. I did site to store for shipping. This was the response today: "We are happy to assist you today. We will do our best to honor your cancel request. Because we process orders as quickly as possible, sometimes the request to cancel arrives after shipment processing has begun, at which time canceling is not possible. If your order cannot be canceled, you’ll need to return the items to receive a refund. " So many other companies work with customers to solve issues but Walmart is rarely one of them. 1

Not even 3 hours later, the person I bought it for changed their mind and said they didn't want it. I tried to cancel the order, but got the same message as shopping4my3son. I still haven't heard one way or the other if my order has been canceled. It still says "Processing." Same thing happened with Amazon, but they immediately emailed me after the first email and said it was too late. Darn. Oh well. I guess I'll just return.

Another time from Apple I tried to cancel and order 2 days after it was placed, and could not. However they emailed me a self address prepaid label to ship it back as soon as the item arrived at my house.. WalMart just stinks, they have no customer service and the only reason why they stay in business is because of their low prices. If everyone banned together and stopped shopping with them due to their customer service, maybe the company would open their eyes
DLM Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 If I am understanding this correctly the wrong state was chosen in the drop down? What about the zip code you entered? The address may come up as invalid for the shipper and may go back on its own?

I had placed 2 orders before this 1 and they are coming to my home. I dont know how the main shipping address got changed on this order.I am getting the same FORM LETTER that shopping4my3son got. Every time I call or email I get the same answer......just return it when you get it......or contact the person that lives there and ask them to return it for you.......I have no way of finding out who lives there ! They got my money and dont care if I get my stuff. 331.12 of hard earned money. Whats sad about it is.....it hasnt shipped yet and I asked for it to be cancelled Thursday 1 minute after I ordered it. The least they could do is change the address !

If they give you the same runaround, ask to speak to their supervisor, if you don't get any help there, ask to speak to their supervisor and so on.

The least they could do is change the address !It is no problem for you to change the address online once it's shipped. I have done it several times with UPS and FEDEX. It is simple. The problem cancelling orders this time of year is they are shipping them out within hours. I have cancelled several walmart orders, You email them and then if they can catch it, they stop it. 1

I have [paid 2 times with paypal this year and had to cancel. One was a preorder to Best Buy and I cancelled because they took the money out of my account when they aren't supposed to until it ships. THe second one I cancelled within 1 minute because the order went through twice. I had to wait over a week on paypal to give me my money both times as they have to wait until my bank gives them the money and then they release the hold they p lace on my refund. I won't use paypal anymore.
