brynnfromtheblock
We bought a nice permanent one at BJs one year ..... We just fill it up each year. This year for example we went to fresh market and I let them pick out 24 different types of the "pick your own candy". For $10 they got different kinds of candy they actually wanted, and are excited to find out which one is there each day.
leefamily23
I get them for my nieces and nephew every year (used to do it for my son too when he was little). I just get the ones w/ a piece of candy a day. Anyhow, our grocery store has them for $1.99 each. Pretty much the same price I pay every year. shopping4my3son
I never bought them before this year. I picked up the Lego ones. I saw this idea from a blog I follow: http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/2012/11/30/real-food-tips-advent-calendars-without-candy/
KBsDarling
We have one similar to this http://ab.pkimgs.com/pkimgs/ab/images/dp/wcm/201334/0007/img4o.jpg My dad gave it to my daughter her 1st Christmas. This sucker costs me a fortune to fill and is a pain in the butt to find little trinkets that fit in each pocket. We cant do candy in them which would make it slightly cheaper to fill. As much as I would like to skip it at 12 its one of the only thing she hasnt decided she is to cool/old for LOL
