fancychance Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Has anyone ever purchased a laptop from Overstock.com? They seem to have some really good prices but I'm not sure. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks
RossMAN Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Don't forget to use a coupon to save even more :)
icanhabsum Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 I dont know what you're looking @ but we have a classroom filled with the old lattitude c600 series on campus *STAY AWAY* from them.... they take a good 10 mins to boot windows xp pro. Also I'd @ dell new before getting a refurb. Dells trying to get rid of the 600m inventory b/c they replaced it so you can find a good deal. $799 gets you a Pentium M 1.70GHz, 60GB HD, 1GB RAM, CD/DVD-Burner coupon code XXWRNK8T7XVPBN
alimfp Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 I'd go with Dell, get a refurb and use a coupon code - they have awesome codes as well. Just think of it like this - buy a crappy laptop and need a new one in a year, or buy a good laptop for a couple hundred more (if that) and have it last many years. I am NOT saying laptops from Overstock are crappy, but sometimes it's worth paying a bit more for electronics.. but Dell has great deals as I've said anyway.
icanhabsum Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 Also HP has Compaq V4000t Notebook $699 (749-50 rebate) Celeron M 380 1.6Ghz, 512MB DDR2/40GB RAM, DVD/CDRW, Free Brightview 15.4" Widescreen, XP Home + free shipping
RossMAN Posted December 8, 2005 Posted December 8, 2005 icanhabsum and alimfp have the right idea :) Find a NEW laptop on sale + coupon - rebate with free shipping = WINNER!
