Brad Posted September 17, 2013 Author Posted September 17, 2013 Found most if not all of the old shirts. Excuse the wrinkles on some of these as they were stored at the bottom of a plastic storage bin and were crushed. 2005: http://i.gottadeal.com/main/images/merch/oldshirts/1.jpghttp://i.gottadeal.com/main/images/merch/oldshirts/2.jpg2006:http://i.gottadeal.com/main/images/merch/oldshirts/3.jpg2008:http://i.gottadeal.com/main/images/merch/oldshirts/5.jpghttp://i.gottadeal.com/main/images/merch/oldshirts/6.jpg2009:http://i.gottadeal.com/main/images/merch/oldshirts/4.jpg2010 (black) and 2011 (blue):http://i.gottadeal.com/main/images/merch/oldshirts/7.jpghttp://i.gottadeal.com/main/images/merch/oldshirts/8.jpg2012:http://i.gottadeal.com/main/images/merch/oldshirts/9.jpghttp://i.gottadeal.com/main/images/merch/oldshirts/10.jpg 2
BFNinja Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 (edited) Well I just realized that GottaDeal.com was established in 2004. Because of that, I think that (Anniversary) should not be include on the shirt since it is technically the 9th year Anniversary. Going to have to change my idea now. LOL Edited September 18, 2013 by BFNinja

Pepper_Mint_Tea Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Maybe Black with the font/design in white ????
BFNinja Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 (edited) Brad was right, this is the 10th anniversary. count them: (1) 2004, (2) 2005, (3) 2006, (4) 2007, (5) 2008, (6) 2009, (7) 2010, (8) 2011, (9) 2012, (10) 2013. No. Black Friday has been covered ten times in 9 years. How can it be a ten year Anniversary when GottaDeal.com has only been around for 9 years? You don't count 2004 as an Anniversary year since that is when GottaDeal.com started. Count them. Edited September 19, 2013 by BFNinja

This will be the 10th year of covering Black Friday but the 9th anniversary. 1

ISU ME Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Front:I Black Friday Back:GottaDeal.comWhy Pay Retail? I'd save the big 10 year shirt for next year. And I would love a shirt in a color other than navy or black! 2
BFNinja Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Sorry guys, I won't post anymore about the Anniversary thing. Did not mean to get the thread off topic. Happy BLACK FRIDAY to everyone!!!!!
jade2002 Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Grey t's are much better than black or navy in my opinion. 2
jaymacfla Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 2012 had the best front, but the back lacked that "kick" that the shopper behind you felt when they read your shirt! 1
Pepper_Mint_Tea Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I love the 2012 shirt design, maybe we could do something similar this year !!??
momlori Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 I like the 2012 design on the back but this year put it on the front with the "I got your doorbuster" on the back with 10yrs saving with Gottadeal
Peppermint Posted September 22, 2013 Posted September 22, 2013 I like the 2006 one out of those posted!
Brad Posted September 23, 2013 Author Posted September 23, 2013 No. Black Friday has been covered ten times in 9 years. How can it be a ten year Anniversary when GottaDeal.com has only been around for 9 years? You don't count 2004 as an Anniversary year since that is when GottaDeal.com started. Count them. Well to be technical, we did cover BF back in 2003, but it was on everydeal.com, not GD This is the 10th year covering BF on GD and January 1st is the 10th Anniversary of the site's launch. So as for the shirts... I have a GD "10 years" logo done (doesn't say the word anniversary or the word years - just the number 10 and 2004-2014. The logo I came up with would probably work best with a grey shirt, so I'm leaning towards a grey BF shirt. Don't know if it'll be more a heather grey like the 2006 one I posted above (probably my favorite shirt we've had) or it'll be more a solid, slightly darker shade of grey. Both would work. I'm thinking maybe put the "GD 10" logo on the front and then a catchy BF slogan/design on the back for people behind you to see/read. Because the shirt has the year 2014 on the logo, it could technically be used for this year and next and still be "timely" for those who don't like wearing shirts with older years on them. This year would be the 10th "year" of BF on GD, and next year would be the 10th anniversary of our first year of BF coverage on GD.

AuntieJul Posted September 23, 2013 Posted September 23, 2013 I kind of liked the zombie theme too but I can see how that doesn't quite have the celebratory or timeless feeling to it; it's more suited to any other general year tshirt. Maybe a slogan like "I'm armed with bargains and I'm dangerous with a shopping cart."
1whodatdare Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Maybe it's just me, but I'm partial to #Swag. Like, "This is what No Sleep #Swag Looks like" Or "I got your Swag right here, and your Doorbuster"Or: "You may have the Swag, but I've got your doorbuster"Or: "Gottadeal.com: More Swag than a Best Buy Camper"Or: Gottadeal.com: Doorbustin' Swag since 2004.

Good work. I like the third one the best.
jaymacfla Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 The only way a shopping cart could look cool is if the cart had a stick figure (driver) bowling over other stick figures which in turn looked like bowling pins themselves...
