The catch is she doesn't like designer items, she won't spend a gift card on herself, and she has 4 grandkids living with her. I'm willing to put some money into it if it is a really great gift. Please someone help me, I only have a few more days. Thanks
shanni Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I go through the same thing with my MIL, this year I heard her mention in a conversation that she always loved Chanel #5, so I grabbed her a bottle of that for Xmas. It's the only time in 18 years I have EVER heard her say she liked something.

But maybe she's into scrapbooking or something like that so you could get her a digital camera with a printer and she could capture pics of all those granddkids. I know I would love one of those. Or, what about a camcorder...I got one last year for Christmas and I love to use it during holidays.

gottashop2 Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 My MIL is hard to buy for too. She likes to have tea or flavored coffee before bed, so I usually will get her one of those and maybe a bottle of Kahula to go with the coffee. Usually is appreciated. Good Luck!
MustangSally Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Mine always gives me the gift back.. sometimes she even gives me back my FIL's presents. she did not like the afghan I made her one year and gave it back to me.. the next week I sold it heheeee... so this year she is getting slippers and a Quillow. If she does not like them I will use them! I have decided from now on I will give her what I like heheee. Love, Beth
