Black Friday first-timer

This will be my first time venturing out and fighting the crowds on black friday. Me and a friend decided to try it this year! Does anyone have any tips for us? It seems like it can get pretty crazy and any helpful advice would be much appreciated! How early do we need to get to these stores in the morning??

 

I am wanting to get a 32" TV from somewhere, among other things. Also, does anyone know if Bed, Bath, and Beyond will have a BF ad?

Yeah, I'd like to know as well. This will be my first BF, going by myself, hoping to get the Kodak C360 at Best Buy.

I was going to try my first BF by myself too. Do you really have to stand in lines? I want to go to BB, CC and WM - how do I pick which one to go to first???

My strategy is for me to pick one or two places to be at, and my wife one or two also. Be at your #1 choice early, depending on the store. Best Buy, we're talking 3 hours or earlier (some may say by midnight!) Other places like Staples, that other Office place ( ), around an hour early. Target or Walmart - at least one hour probably 2 hours early. But that is in my town of around 60K people, YMMV. :)

 

After you get what you want at your #1 store, go on down the line to your next store, and hope you are still in time! If you are working (yes, it is WORK), make sure you both have cell phones so you can comminucate. Otherwise, you may both end up at the same store buying the same item! (speaking from experience )

 

 

Then meet your wife several hours later for breakfast!

 

For us, it's prioritizing what you want, splitting up to get what you can at your #1 and #2 stores, and rushing to get your top items at that store, after that, luck plays a large part!
