Doesn't look like I'd be much help to you. I make pretty much the same things- the turkey (of course ;)) stuffing, mashed potatoes, homemade mac & cheese, rolls and gravy.

How about adding cheese to your mashed potatoes, making a green bean or broccoli casserole? Instead of regular corn, make some corn muffins and add the corn into the batter.

Bettycrocker.com has some great recipes for the holidays.

Why be traditional ask everyone in your family their favorites and be sure to have those things. Mine want candied yams, collards, deviled eggs, potato salad, succotash, ..... I cook for two days but after Thanksgiving I do not cook again until Monday.

I know you asked for side dishes, but here is a recipe for the pumpkin bread which I make every year.

JonathanM's famous pumpkin bread:

3 cups Sugar

3 1/2 cups Flour

2 tsp. Baking Soda

1/2 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Nutmeg

1 tsp. Cinnamon

Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.

1 cup Oil

2/3 cup Water

4 eggs

1 29 oz can (About 3 ½ cups) canned pumpkin

2 cups chocolate chips

3/4 chopped walnuts

Make a well and place remaining ingredients in well.

Mix and place in three well-greased loaf pans.

Bake at 350° F for 1 to 1 hour, 15min until done.

we make this broccoli cheese casserole for all of the holidays like thanks giving, christmas and easter. it is a big hit and we never ever have left overs. i have known people to switch up the velveeta with better cheddar cheeses and they said the velvetta works best in preformance and taste in this recipe.

Broccoli Cheese Casserole.

9X13 size pan

6 packs of frozen chopped broccoli

2 sticks butter marg. melted

2 rows of ritz crackers ground into crumbs

2 lb velvetta cheese sliced or chunked up

Cook and drain broccoli (really press the water out as much as possible) Put in casserole. Slice cheese over top. Cover with Ritz cracker crumbs. Pour margarine over all. Bake at 350-degrees for 20 minutes or until bubbling hot.
