DragonSlayer1500
I recently bought like $100 worth of Best Buy Bucks from EBay. However, after purchasing something at Best Buy, I was told that you are only allowed to use $20 Best Buy Bucks per transaction. I went to their website and it said you can use up to $300 in a day and on non-media items (DVD, CDs etc.) you can use up to $300 as long as it doesn't exceed the price prior to tax. Has anyone here used more than 20 BBB on a single item or heard anything about the problem I'm having?
MarkRaby
Are you by any chance in Indiana? I've heard that Best Buys there are horrible for redeeming the BB Bucks because of some big decision laid down by the head of several district offices. What you need to do is call 1-888-BEST-BUY (corporate number), tell them at what Best Buy you had your unjust experience, and they will contact the Best Buy and let them know that they can't change the rules. Also stand your ground at Best Buy. Take a copy of the rules with you (there's also a clause in there that states that Best Buy employees and managers are not allowed to change the rules). Don't take no for an answer! -Mark-
Avdan285
I've seen people use $150+ in some transactions. That $20 limit they're giving/telling you is BS.

I've used $36 for one purchase, $45 for another, also $72, $144, and $300 each in different trips to Best Buy and have received nothing but pleasant cashiers with incredible checkout speed and service. You should be treated like I've been, and not like a common criminal. -Mark-
stiltman
when the bb bucks came out the store by me had a limt of 75.00 per day! i talked to the manager. and told him i eatting that junk for the bb bucks i told him it is stated 300.00 in the rules. he said they had a problem with younger kids comming in with 400. + the day it started. how in the heck they got 400. in a day beats me. but anyway he said he has no problem with me bringing 300.00 in. so talk to the manager and bring the rules he will have to honor them. Cindlu
I went to BB in Illinois yesterday and I was only allowed to use one $3 towards a Gilmore Girls 4th season dvd set. What a bummer. I was told that its in the rules only one BB per dvd. Is that true? Or was I once again swindled? I have a great Bath and Body Works story that I called Corporate BBW. I truely was wronged by a salesclerk....just to make a sale.

DragonSlayer1500
Yeah...I tried to put a link to the rules but they just pop up in a tiny little window that doesn't have a URL. If you wanna read em, go to Bestbuy.com and search for Best Buy Bucks. The second hit is terms and conditions.

gatorbeetle
There was a local story that some kids were "dumpster diving" behind McD's all over town for Best Buy Bucks. One kid actually went on Camera, greasy and covered in ketchup, and bragged he found over $150 behind one store one night. People were just throwing these things away. I don't know how you guys did it, I only got $34 before I got sick of eating that junk!!!

The Monoply game was going on and I would find free item coupons everywhere. When you work there you are not allowed to use them..but I would give them away to friends to use. They loved me for it. Wonder if it's like that w/ the BBB's.
