Furby 2012 - will these be a hard thing to get come holiday time???

I see WalMart has been promoting them on their website that you can pre order them. $60? A bit high, but someone on Ebay is charging $90 and they're not even out yet.

I saw these yesterday while doing some research online. I'm thinking there is a really good possibility they will be "hot".

I read there is (or going to be) an app to use the Furby with iPhone, iPod, etc.

 

I would love to get my hands on one to see how it works, how it interacts with the apps & website, and see what kids think of the new Furby.

 

When I initially saw the price for pre-order I was floored; but then I read about it being interactive.

I had furbys when I was young and loved em but they were SO hard to get. my brother worked at kb toys and he wasnt allowed to buy them because they were for customers only. That craze was insane for him...I did get my hands on one but Im pretty sure they were like 10 bucks retail back then...dont think I would spend 60 unless it does ALOT more then it did when I was younger...

I think to be fair we might have been a little too old the 1st time they came around to get into the hype but don't understand it.

They were 29.99 when they came out. I bought 2 at Costco, on some inside information regarding when they cleared customs. The tip was correct and there were either 1 or 2 pallets of them at the front of the store. I no longer have that contact though, don't even remember what forum it was from. I think they will be hot this year.
