92Hoosier Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 I apologize if this has already been asked somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Santa purchased a set of laser tag guns, but one gun is defective. I'd love to return them for a replacement (and/or a different set) but the box was mutilated by my son when opening it. Will amazon.com take it back without the box or in a box that is held together with 300 pieces of tape? Anyone have any suggestions?
bluesky225 Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 Last year, my son's transformer was broken when we opened it. I think the box was mostly in good shape, but it wasn't perfect (we did have to use some tape). Because it was already broken when we got it, they didn't seem to mind. They sent a replacement quickly, and we didn't have to pay any shipping. I don't think you'll have any problems as their customer service is the best! I did the return thru my account online, but you could probably call as well.
peppysfireball Posted December 26, 2011 Posted December 26, 2011 RIght on the order page is a drop down menu for returns. THey won't charge you return shipping if it is broken. DOne it many times. THey do have to authorize the return, either on the phone or through the return form.
92Hoosier Posted December 27, 2011 Author Posted December 27, 2011 Thanks!! My husband actually took the gun apart and fixed it, but we'll watch it closely for the next 20 days in case we need to return it after all.
