cindymelanson Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Microsoft Kinect™ Sensor Fall Bundle for Xbox 360® came today from sears and didn't come with the games it displayed when I ordered it. So I went back to the site and it pictured different games then it detailed in the description. It came with Kinect Adventures and Child of Eden. Did this happen to anyone else? I haven't opened it in case I need to return it. But it the box doesn't look like the one displayed. http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_SPM5946117101P?prdNo=12&blockNo=12&blockType=G12 http://s.shld.net/is/image/Sears/spin_prod_583430601?hei=600&wid=600&op_sharpen=1&qlt=90,0&resMode=sharp&op_usm=0.9,0.5,0,0
speeddiva Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 (edited) Yeah, mine was that way too. AND it was already opened! I am NOT happy. I only ordered it for Fruit Ninja. Edited December 2, 2011 by speeddiva
speeddiva Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 So after talking to Sears CS & 2 people at corporate the answer I got was basically too bad, you got what you ordered. If you don't want it, return it.
dalspot Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I am on the phone right now arguing with them that they sent the wrong item. The Sears product number on my invoice specifically shows the 3- game bundle. I bought it too for the three games. I will update when I get off the phone. dalspot Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Ok. They are resending me Item # 0584158600 - and sending me an email with a return shipping label for the wrong item. I made sure that it was noted on my account that I got a sensor with only TWO games, so that they do not try and tell me I returned the wrong item. It took some yelling, but I got it exchanged - I hope!

AndreaInNC Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Fruit Ninja is a download in the Xbox 360 store - see if they will give you a points card instead of you sending the item back.
speeddiva Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Sears is sending me a GC to cover the costs of the missing games & to compensate the bad CS. I love the power of Twitter.
tentips Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I have been on the phone with them 4 times over this and have gotten nothing but a runaround.... I will never buy from Sears again!
Deal Grabber Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Yeah, mine was that way too. AND it was already opened! I am NOT happy. I only ordered it for Fruit Ninja.Fruit Ninja and gunslinger arent actually games they are downloads you get from xbox free.Once you open the game you will have to download the game from the market.
angleyez423 Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 I didn't get this bundle but it looks like 2 of the 3 games were downloads. Orange banners are generally XBox Live downloads. Kinect Adventures always comes with the Kinect and Fruit Ninjas always comes with Gunstringer. It appears to me this was only the normal Kinect bundle with the additional download. Look through the boxes for sheets of paper that might have download codes on them. For those of you that got Child of Eden this is probably not the case, but from what I hear you might be better off with that game (depending on the player). It's supposed to be good. If you don't want it, you can probably take the sealed game to your local Walmart or Best Buy and exchange it for something you do want since Sears seems to offer no help. Sears might even do the trade. Child of Eden is a $40 game so an exchange should cover almost any game you want, or $40 off a brand new game. Could be better than sticking with Gunstringer, although I heard that is good too.
speeddiva Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 Since my box was open when I got it, I looked inside & the was only Adventures & the Eden d/l card, NOT the other TWO I was supposed to get. 2 games vs. the 3 game bundle was bad enough but that only 1 of the 3 was what they advertised was unacceptable. According to all the Sears CSRs I spoke to, they sell the Gunslinger & Fruit Ninja games separately so that's why they sent as GC to cover the cost to purchase the games.
cindymelanson Posted December 4, 2011 Author Posted December 4, 2011 Wow it happened to other people too! For those of you that had luck with CS, maybe you could help me out. I talked to a cs person and they told me to expect an email with information on what I should do because I could not return it to a sears store. I don't have anything and my call was made Nov 30th. What did you need to speak to a manager or did you ask for the points to get the game downloads? The cs I talked to didn't seem to know anything at all about x-box so she was very confused about what I was trying to tell her.

Whoever told you that was absolutely wrong. They actually contacted me after I kvetched on Twitter about the horrible CS. If you have it, send a tweet to @searscares & see if they get back to you, otherwise I'd just keep calling & arguing.
cindymelanson Posted December 6, 2011 Author Posted December 6, 2011 Thank you speeddiva, I sent a tweet to @searscares and I got an email right away from them asking to explain my issue. I haven't heard back yet but aleast things are going in the right direction.
hack2222 Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Gotta love the power of spreading the word, to make them do what they need to.
dalspot Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 So the replacement item arrived from Sears today - when the order was placed, it specifically said it was for the "Kinect Fall Bundle"... and the sent the WRONG item again. I just placed an order for the same thing from Best Buy @ the same price, will go pick up in store. I am returning both to Sears.
