djsigma Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Could Amazon be the shocker of the last 10 days with countless price matching of competitors? Will Best Buy or Walmart put out a last minute supplement ad to get an edge on the competitions? What is the possibility of a Groupon for a major retailer materializing in the coming days to steal the show when it comes to Black Friday sales? What do you think COULD be a last minute surprise? Or have we seen everything there is as far as major sale items? Share your thoughts!
jaymacfla Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Walmart will come out with a 5 AM sale with the missing items. Best Buy will have one or two secret items. Amazon will continue to price-match exact items.
bribri25 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Has to be some ds consoles (other than 3ds) surprises.
pretweety7 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I go with Walmart being one of the biggest surprises :) (Better be anyways
barbd00 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Not sure about a 5 am Walmart. Our local WM is scheduling people 5 pm to 5 am. With a shift change at 5, I don't think it'll happen at 5. I think there will be something, but I think it will be before 5 or around 6 am.
jediliz Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I hope Best Buy will have some not yet revealed tablet deals online....still hoping the new Samsung Galaxy 7 Plus will have a few dollars off for Black Friday.
Erdica Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 Has to be some ds consoles (other than 3ds) surprises. This was what I was looking for this year...or at least a decent bundle. But everything has been the 3D one...which I don't want at all.
Dylansmommy Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I think all the ads have been disappointing this year. I'm still holding out that something big will be revealed from someone. Walmart's ad was disastrous! Target had a few items, but nothing to get overly excited about.
tdanette Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I haven't seen as many gift cards offered this year, maybe the major retailers will offer some last minute. (And I can't imagine WM wouldn't match Target's)
djsigma Posted November 21, 2011 Author Posted November 21, 2011 (edited) Looks like Best Buy came out with a supplement ad with 13 more pages of items! Is anyone really surprised? :) Edited November 21, 2011 by djsigma
KBsDarling Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Keeping fingers crossed that Amazon comes out of the gates hard with a "get everything Monday-Wednesday and actually get to spend time with your family Thursday instead of in line" push LOL Seriously though as much as walmart is getting knocked around for that 10pm opening you would think Amazon would just capitalize the HECK out of it by matching them ahead of time
tinkrbel Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I was counting on Amazon but the last two days have been duds for me and the movie listing doesn't interest me. I will hold out hope but I don't know.
allshoppedout Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Walmart will have a 2 page ad (four sides) with special sale that begins at 4 a.m....some have to be deals on ds/ds games.... BB will have about 10 items that are available online only for special prices, that's my prediction
BFQueenofNY Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 Walmart put out too easy this year. They must have something up their sleeves

Deal Grabber Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 I was counting on Amazon but the last two days have been duds for me and the movie listing doesn't interest me. I will hold out hope but I don't know.Ive posted in numerous threads already about Amazon. You must wait.Ive done Amazon for years and their sales always come though.Granted for the most part they are one day sales and go quickly but if you have the time to sit and watch you wont be disappointed.Amazon always PMs stores with prices it just may not be at our conveince.
