mabennett Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 im looking for a good deal on a mac book. Do you think there will be any good deals on black Friday
mysschevous Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 I would say probably not. Macs do not tend to go on sale. Make sure to check out macmall though. Sometimes they have specials. :) GL
Kibit13 Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 The Macbook has been discontinued, but you still may be able to find it in store until their current supply sells out or online as a refurb. Your other options are the Macbook Air and the Macbook Pro. The Macbook Air is an awesome light weight computer, but it doesn't have a disk drive. The Macbook Pro is also a really nice computer, but you may not need that much power. Your best bet may be buying a refurbished Macbook on Apple.com Their stock is always changing so if you don't see what you're looking for then check back. You should also see if there are any Mac repair places in you area, they often sell computers too. The Apple store does have a BF sale, but the discount isn't a lot. However, it's still better than paying full retail. If you work in education or for the government you may be able to get a discount on Apple.com, but check first to make sure you qualify. http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac
biomajor Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Best buy is selling macs too. You can at least get a few bucks back in rewards there, plus they are a few dollars cheaper. If you have an id from a college you can get educational pricing from apple. Sometimes mac authority will have open boxes and last years models a little cheaper. some weekends I think my husband lives at the apple store and mac authority lol.
PerkynPunctual Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Do keep an eye on ads. My husband got his last year as his Christmas gift at Best Buy. He got a $100 gift card with purchase and a free Magic Mouse!
