Marcster
http://static1.consumerist.com/3-8-2010%201-54-44%20PM.jpg Consumerist readers are on to you, Target. After reading the site for awhile, people are moving the sale cards over to see what the price used to be before it went "on sale." Reader Mike says: "After looking for some groceries on sale, I wandered over to the DVD section. I saw "Battlestar Galactica: The Plan" on sale for $16.99. After reading your site for a while, I learned to look behind the sale card on the DVD. The sale price is $2 more than the regular price. Looks like I'll wait for the "sale" to end before I consider buying this DVD."http://consumerist.com/2010/03/sale-at-target-means-you-pay-2-extra.html ------------ Of course, maybe Mike should just buy the very same DVD from Amazon for $5.99, and eligible for free shipping?:http://www.amazon.com/Battlestar-Galactica-Edward-James-Olmos/dp/B002HRF68A/
lukesmom01
I have seen where the temporary "price cut" tag was the same as the regular price, but never MORE!
Rockfordmom
Anything at Walgreens or CVS that says "WOW" or "hot buy" is all regular price. I have seen things at the grocery store that the "price cut" is a whole whopping 2 cents.

ClosedAcct
I caught Target doing that once earlier this year on laundry detergent. I asked a manager about it who put her finger to her lips and with a half smile said “shhhhh”.
