babycleat Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Be on the lookout! Its in todays paper!!! I'm new here, so excuse me for not knowing, but what is BELK?? Thanks :)
ajbrowns Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 Belk is a department store, much like Proffitts, Parisian, and JC Penney. Amie
fairydustcrissy Posted November 6, 2005 Author Posted November 6, 2005 What is Proffitts? lol, wondering the same...where is it? in GA? I've never heard of it.
biomajor Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 We have both Belk and Proffitts here in TN :)
ajbrowns Posted November 6, 2005 Posted November 6, 2005 What is Proffitts? Smarty pants:tongue1: Actually, they are going out of business. Belk is buying them out...at least here in Rome. Amie
JanetThomas1 Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 I better dig my belk ad back out - I missed it !!!!! Glad we recycle, not just toss it!!!! Thanks.
eve Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 neverheard of them, guess theres no point in digging thru my paper I was hoping it was something i could use
lovetheparks Posted November 7, 2005 Posted November 7, 2005 Hmmm will have to dig it back out of the trash. Was it in an ad or the regular print section?
fairydustcrissy Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 It was in the ad...there are 2 belks ads. One is Christmas themed, it was not with the other ads in my papers....It has the coupon on the front. Its also a smaller book than most Belks are.....
fairydustcrissy Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 Oh, and I just got back! I got a Caphalon air bake cookie sheet, on clearance for 10.48, so my total was .51!! I also did another transaction, had a set of 5 stackable stainless bowls with lids, and a "gourmet" set of kitchen accessories like spoons, spatulas, etc. Total on that order was 6.xx. I'm happy!
laffnatu Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 I got a great christmas present for .56 cents using the $10 coupon. It is a 6qt soup tureen regularly $33 was on sale for 70% off.:) Now I wish I had gotten more Sunday papers
fairydustcrissy Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 I ended up going back again last night. I got a calphalon cake pan for 1.xx, and a 66 piece plastics set for the kitchen. Total was 2.00 on that one. I also got 2 pair of socks for fillers. Found some that were marked to 1.99 each! Overall I got about $100.00 worth of stuff for ~$10.
laffnatu Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Dang girl!!!! Great job on them deals! I hardly ever get the newspaper and just happened to get it on Sunday because I wanted to look at the ads. I am gonna get one every Sunday now.
fairydustcrissy Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 I was so exciited after the 1st trip, so when hubby got home I made him watch the kids while I went back! The hard part was finding a paper though! Seems lots o people knew about this. It took me 4 stops to get a paper, but I got a double deal...2 for 2.50.
knittingarrows Posted November 9, 2005 Posted November 9, 2005 Since I missed this one - does anyone know if this is something that Belk does regularly? We had one open nearby last month! April
