Hmm, I might absolutely have to trust a babysitter to get here in time so I can be at Walmart at 5 and then run down the street to Sears for the gift card?!. Argh! Thanks Brad for the info! :P

Last year our Sears advertised that it opened at 6:00am, but there were signs on the door on Thanksgiving morning saying that the store would be opening at 4AM on Black Friday. I would check with your individual store... if I hadn't gone to K-mart (next door to the mall) on Thanksgiving, I would have missed the $10 gift card!

Why do places do that? I mean can you imagine how many ANGRY people there were?

Well how early do you have to be there to be one of the luky ones to get the $10 gift card, if they opened at 6:00am?

Totally depends on where you live. Out here I was the first one in line at 4 am. In other cities, that could land you 50th or 300th, I'm sure...it varies widely from one city to another.
