shanni Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 My sister in law is in the process of being trained for layaway at Walmart, she just found out she will be running the layaway counter on BF. Our thoughts and prayers should be with her~!!
Kandy Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 My best friend works at a SuperCenter and everyone at the store she works at will be working on BF
Gporter34 Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Well, it's certainly not the best place to be on bf, that's for sure.lol
shanni Posted October 29, 2005 Author Posted October 29, 2005 I did that one year at Walmart and I loved it, but I LOVE BF and everything about it!
erh12275 Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Well good luck to her. Tell her after she gets off she's gonna need this...
erh12275 Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Oh that's bad, I feel for her.Not to mention she won't be able to shop...how much worse can it get????
laffnatu Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Good luck sis in law!! Everyone at our Walmart has to report for duty that day. Glad I don't work there or I wouldn't be one of us crazys getting out at 3 am..
heavenlysshine Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Holy cow! She's just now training for it and will be RUNNING it BF? That's insane! ~H~
ebony0421 Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Tell her says she can do it. When customers call and she has to just be as nice as possible, when they come to the counter and look like this , just grin and bare it even though she wants to do this . After work she can share her and have a few .
best4less Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Good luck sis in law!! Everyone at our Walmart has to report for duty that day. Glad I don't work there or I wouldn't be one of us crazys getting out at 3 am..Very true! My hubby works overnight stock crew. He'll have to be there at midnight but they will hopefully let him leave by 7am (at least they did last year). Not soon enough for him! LOL Working layaway or the register on BF must be horrible. Good luck to your SIL!
Guest Deals4Me Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Oh gosh....Our layawaydoesnt even open for BF...they already have it closed saying they wont do anymore till 11/30!
dmintelsgt Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Oh Goodness! I feel for her! The only thing I can think of that would be worse is working the return line the day after Christmas - ACK! Michele:usflag:
elena_398 Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 A newbie for BF? Shes brave to accept that position!
vonnyb Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 My prayers are with her. Last year I saw the layaway line and it was just never ending.
fingerlakesmom Posted October 31, 2005 Posted October 31, 2005 Oh my poor thing I will pray She should have stash of choclate in her pockets that day to help her through
apettyjohn Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 You can feel sorry for me too. I have to be at work at 4:00 am to be on my register before the sale starts. Then my boss has already told me that I will be on the return desk the day after Christmas. I used to go shopping but haven't been able to for 3 Christmas's now.I miss it a lot. April
elena_398 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Im not which is worse: Layaway on BF or returns on the day after Christmas! My prayers are with you both! :)
elena_398 Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 May the force be with you both!!!!Personally its the returns I wouldn't want to do!
itscryttle Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 OH I feel sorry for ANYONE who wooks retail and has to work on BF! I used to work at Walmart years ago and OMG! BF was a dreaded day And Layaway!! No way Jose'
rosegarden Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Okay, that brought back very very nasty flashbacks to Kmart layaways on BF! EEEWWWWWW. God bless her and good luck!
happyrat Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 Its all in how you do it, and how you perceive your job. IF you do not let the angry customers get to you, and you do your job well' BF is just like any other day. Many years ago I worked at K-mart for 3 years, and went through 2 BF days. I actually liked it, because since you were busy the day went by so fast. When its slow the day drags on forever.
aolson Posted November 2, 2005 Posted November 2, 2005 The fast pace that day is wonderful, it goes by in a flash! But there are some customers that can really get to you if you let them... I think I would rather be there the day people are placing stuff on layaway then the day they pick it up. Andrea
