Stowasser
I saw that Walmart was offering the Dora's Talking House for $49.xx at BF this is without any of the furniture sets (it doesn't come with furniture) but I found a pretty good deal at Costco. It is the big set which includes the Talking House and at least 6 rooms of furniture for $109.xx. It had the two bedrooms, bathroom, dining room, kitchen, and living room. It might have had the Media too but was looking with husband so quick glance. Now, add it up-House-$50 plus each room ranges in store from $10-$15 so that is $60 so you are saving a couple of bucks (off of the BF price if you are able to get one) and getting one GREAT BIG BOX for your little one to open. My kids would flip to see a box like that under the tree. No battling other people to get just the house. Hopefully this helps, if my kids were little that is the way I would buy it. If you don't have a membership to Costco, maybe a friend does and you can shop with them one day......

elena_398
My daughter wants this house, but Im passing on it. I know where all the pieces will end up. In the toy box. So the empty house shell will sit in the toy room. I've learned. :)

aleiasmommy
I am planning on buying this for my 2 1/2 year old who LOVES Dora...but I am going to pass on the costco one....I would rather buy everything separately and have her open a *bunch* of presents than 1 big one...your only saving a few bucks anyway...my girls rather open a bunch of presents rather than getting 1 huge present... I have a $200 spending limit on each of my girls so that would take up half of her allowance and only 1 present versus a bunch of little ones:eyepoppin

I went to order it on Amazon the the reviews from a few parents said it sent electrical sparks or something of that nature. Also I think you can get a one day pass to costco at Customer Service. I am a member but they do offer the one day pass. Lourdes

LourdesI have this doll house i bought it last year and i have had no problem with it. I was concerned with what you said however and i just went the amazon.com and read every review of this dollhouse. 96 if the to be exact. I didn't not see one reference to sparks. I saw a lot of people upset that6 they were unable to get the accessories for it last year when i came out.
itscryttle
I am still debating on getting this for my 2 1/2 yr old. She ADORES Dora... but she has the Fisher Price Little people house and play yard and Barn. I can't decide if she really needs the Talking Dora house as well. I took all of the pieces and put them in a small storage box so it is near the dollhouse. That way the pretty much dint get lost and i can tell my kids to put away the pieces when they are finished.I did this too... but with my daughters Fisher Price little people stuff. SO much easier to keep track of all that stuff
