maddielexi4
Ok, has anyone heard anything good about this new item? I noticed about 10 at TRU 4 days ago, went back yesterday, and there were none. They are quite expensive.
monster2369
I have seen them on Hot Toy List for 2005. I read some review on Amazon.com about it. It supposed to be reall cool computer for kids.
krissy72
Supposedly you can draw a calculator on the special paper it needs in order to work, and actually use the calculator you drew. Now, call me crazy but I think I probably could have figured out the math problem by the time I got done trying to draw a calculator.

little*miss*a
Hmmm...never heard of it! I guess I'll have to go do some research!
outnumbered
Alright...is it just me, or is this one friggin' expensive toy with very little purpose to it? It can calculate a math problem as you write it--does it take that much longer to punch the numbers into a $5 calculator? It can play a drum that you draw on paper--can't you drum a pencil on a desk for free? I don't know, it's cool that it can do these things, but there's no way on earth I'd pay $130 just to be able to do a few fun things. The novelty would wear off awfully soon, wouldn't it? monster2369
I would think that it would, I would rather add another $150 to it and get the desktop or notebook for my kids to be able to use instead of one pen, that has to be used on special paper. just my 2 cents. snakeswiff
Saw the at target today, I just dont think it will hold my 11 year olds sons intrest long enough to justify buying it! Gonna skip this one!
krissy72
I can just see it now. Kids going to school with these and playing the drums during class or using a calculator on a test. I think a lot of parents will be getting phone calls from teachers.
whafs8
My nephew wants one of these. So I went to the website and you can test it there for the basics. It was really cool and some stores have one to test. It is really cool but you have to memorize certain things. like to use the Calculator function on the special paper you have to draw a c and then circle it. That lets the computer pen know you want to use calculator function. Pretty Cool concept.
elena_398
Its $99 at most stores I've seen. Too pricey for me though

pcsoon
The demo looks pretty cool. http://www.liveonthefly.com/ (You need a decent internet connection) My kids haven't said anything about it though and I remember walking past it in target with them.:)
mjmcca
Saw it today at WM they had a lot of them. My kids are too young to ask for that.
elena_398
My son age 10 (will be 11 soon) asked for it. But I don't see paying $99 for it. I bought him the $100 remote control Hummer last year and it has been played with a grand total of 3 times. I think twice now running out and getting everything on his list!
