GingerGirlNC
Does anyone know if Game Stop participates with BF? My daughter is really wanting the Nintendo DS with the Nintendo Dogs Bundle. It looks as if that might not be one to go on sale this year.. I don't know.. but that is what I am looking for this year... Any help?
erh12275
Last year I know a couple of the Game places did participate because we made a stop after Radio Shack at one. They weren't all that busy either. HTH.
sbhiggins
Last year one of them (I think it was EBGames, but I'm sure Gamestop had a similar deal) had a great deal on the older games (Player's Choice/Greatest Hits, etc)-- they were all 2/$25. DH cleaned up on that one!
heavenlysshine
All of our ebgames have been bought out by gamestop. I guess it's like that everywhere? ~H~
best4less
All of our ebgames have been bought out by gamestop. I guess it's like that everywhere? ~H~ No not here, we still have both. I was at EBgames last week as a matter of fact. No idea if that is going to change.
heavenlysshine
I just googled it and what I read says that they have merged and that all ebgames will be gamestops by Feb. '06. Some ebgames locations will close down altogether. I think it said gamestop came up with $950 million to buy ebgames out. And I also read something to the effect of barnes&noble having something to do with it? ~H~
elena_398
In another thread I started, I said that I talked to a GameStop employee and they will be having a sale (not confirmed) but he told me the GameCube bundle with Mario 7 will be $
Mara
No not here, we still have both. I was at EBgames last week as a matter of fact. No idea if that is going to change.Hopefully not soon. elena_398
I have 3 GameStops all within 10 miles. I'll have to check the others to see what they say about sales
laffnatu
In another thread I started, I said that I talked to a GameStop employee and they will be having a sale (not confirmed) but he told me the GameCube bundle with Mario 7 will be $99 Walmart has the GameCube bundled right now with Pokemon XD Gale Of Darkness for $99.44. The Pokemon game alone is $50. This is a great deal and son wants the game, but we already have the system.
elena_398
My son wants a GameCube, but I don't think he'll see that on Christmas morning. He already has a PS, PS2, Nintendo 64, and X-box. I don't want to promote too much sitting around! LOL
gijimenez
I doubt they will be on sale this year maybe because they have the new gameboy micro. You never know.

And I also read something to the effect of barnes&noble having something to do with it? ~H~ep, thats right. Hubby is a mgr for EB Games. His store is staying open, most will. Very few stores are actually closing. And dont worry, you will get your 360's as long as you are close to the beginning of the list of pre-orders. One thing we have not heard for sure yet is if EB and GameStop will be having the same sales this year.

I guess it's like that everywhere? ~H~Because of this thread I made a point of looking in Palm Desert when I was there and they still have both...and actually 2 Gamestops. Wonder if they will close one or 2 stores.
MrAustin
I think the Gamecube with Mario Party 7 for $99 is going to be one of the hottest family items purchased this holiday season. It just doesn't get much ebtter than four player Mario Party on Christmas morning ) Trust me, I did it last year for about six hours.
mflower25
last year they had an early bird special at ebgames
RobD
If you go to Barnes & Noble's web site you can access GameStop and through Nov. 7th get 10% off selected video games. You can get there either by clicking on the PC and Video game tab at the top of the page or right now there is a link to "Save 10% on PC & Video Games" in the middle of the home page. The Nintendogs game cartridges are eligible for the 10% off but not the game system. I will tell you though that there is a new Nintendo DS Nintendogs bundle that comes with the Nintendo DS system complete with Nintendogs skin and a special edition Best Friends cartridge that has 6 of the most popular dogs. It is selling for $149.99 (as opposed to $129.99 for the Nintendo DS and $34.99 for the game.) It's so cute! I ordered mine through Amazon.com but I have seen it in Wal-Mart. I don't think it will be going on sale since it's a "special edition" and was just released on 10/24. Rob D
